Mediterraneo Resort — Hotel in Parga Municipality

We recently stayed at the Mediterraneo Resort in Parga with our two children aged 8 and four and we thought it was excellent in every way. The owners are probably the nicest people you will ever meet, polite, always attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. ||||We booked directly and they also kindly organised a taxi transfer from Igoumenitsa Port to Parga, as we arrived from Corfu. On arrival at Mediterraneo our cases were swiftly taken to our apartment and we were asked to sit and relax in the outside garden where we were treated to coffee, cold drinks and cookies. What a nice touch and most welcome especially as we had been travelling for some time and it was extremely hot.||||The resort itself is small and quiet, which was perfect for us. Our apartment was modern and well equipped and pretty much had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi which I was surprised to see. We were also extremely impressed on how clean the apartment was, in fact everywhere including all the outside areas were spotless and very well cared for. You can easily see that the owners take great pride in the complex and all the furniture, fixtures and fittings are new and well looked after. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment, which can actually sleep five, but there are also one bed apartments and studio apartments available for smaller parties. Our apartment also had a large balcony with table and chairs, and we enjoyed sitting out there in the morning having breakfast and on an evening admiring the view to Parga town. This time round we didn’t hire a car, but the apartments also have off road parking which we thought was useful to anyone with a hire car.||||Outside in the gardens there is a lovely clean swimming pool, with sun loungers, which we enjoyed using after a long day at the beach. In fact we always struggled to get our boys out of the pool as they enjoyed being in it so much!||||In summary this is a fantastic little resort for anyone looking for a clean, quiet base whilst staying in Parga and we would like to thank Stelios and family for making us feel most welcome whilst staying at the Mediterraneo Resort. This hotel is situated atop a long steep hill on the top of Parga and it climates in an incredibly steep ending of about 75-100m of too steep, my wife had to take of her shoes to walk here every time, both up and down. If you have any problems walking I'd stay away. ||||Its about 10-15 walk to the city center where there is also a beach, but the city beach is too crowded and small to be comfortable, so to walk to the big beach on the far side of Parga you have to walk either over the "mountain" along a road with no sidewalk for about 25 min or down through the city and then over an overpass with a ton of steps up and down for about 20 min, I say again, this place is not for those who want a short walk or in bad shape. ||||We were unlucky enough to get a really poor room, ground floor, facing the parking lot, this room shouldnt even be let out to guests. It was damp and had an odd smell to it... Our only privacy was a small bamboo wall. We asked to change if possible but was told it was fully booked. ||There is a small pool in the garden with a nice view of the city and a few sunbeds. ||It fits the size of the hotel, but if more than a few rooms get there it will be full. ||You can buy basics like beer and water from the managers room if you dont wanna buy it at a supermarket. ||||The cleaning was good, but all in all we found this hotel wanting, maybe if we had a better room it would be different but this is not what we...

Just got back from two weeks at Mediterraneo Resort and it was a very pleasant stay.||This modern resort is located in a quiet neighbourhood a few minutes from the city centre of Parga. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Valtos Beach and about 5-10 minutes to the Kryoneri city Beach (Piso Kryoneri, a smaller beach left to the city beach is recommended). The resort has a small, but very comfortable pool so if you're tired of the beaches it is a good idea to stay in the pool/garden.
