Originally we were suppose to stay only 2 nights but extended to 3 nights with no hassle. I really liked the location because the whole town is very walkable (wear tennis shoes) with a ton of restaurants close by. The room was comfortable and we always felt very safe. It is cool in the mornings ( most place in Guatemala have no heat) so the extra blanket was appreciated. They have purified water to fill up water bottles and individual safety deposit boxes for valuables. The rooftop terrace had really good views of the volcanos and iglesia de La Merced. Next door is Kaffee Fernando, which has excellent coffee...

During the day, it was a little warm in the room and there was no fan so I just left my door open. There is only a small window so no ventilation. WiFi was decent and breakfast (I ordered the local: eggs, toast, beans, platano) was included. Paid $17/night. The location is great near most of the sights. I didn’t hear street noise in my room at night but I could faintly hear my neighbor talking/snoring in their room. So it’s not fancy but it’s a good...
