El Sabor Chapin — Restaurant in Sacatepéquez

We loved the food and service at El Sabor Chapin. We had eyed this place for days, since our arrival in Antigua. By walking and checking out their environment, we knew it was a special place to try authentic Guatemalan cuisine. To start, we ordered queso fundido and chips, a Plato super chapín, a subanik and two Jamaica juices without sugar. The queso fundido was extremely cheesy, the super chapin was a great choice because we were able to taste 4 unique flavors of Guatemalan cuisine. The subanik was a great dish with its own authentic flavors and 3 types of meat. We really loved the variety of flavors, the environment and the service. The chapin breakfast was top notch! Had breakfast here two days in a row it was that good. Their coffee is locally sourced from finca Filadelfia antigua and has a perfect balanced taste.
