Hotel Casa Realeza — Hotel in Sacatepéquez

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Realeza. For the first time visiting Antigua Guatamala, there were so many hotel options to choose from. We chose Casa Realeza after looking at reviews and the pictures of the property. I even sent the information to the bride whose wedding I was attending and she agrees that the hotel was a good choice.

They did not disappoint. The language barrier was a slight issue but the staff was quick to pull out their phones and use Google translate and that helped a lot.

The rooms are gorgeous! The bathroom is beautiful. Our room was a little on the small side but we made it work.

The staff was excellent and I really have to shout out Orfa. This woman was absolutely amazing. She took care of us from the moment I met her. Not only did she make sure we had everything that we were supposed to receive for our stay but she made suggestions that we didn’t even think about.

The biggest thing she did for us was to secure our ride to the airport. Now this may seem like a small feat, but we had already paid for a shuttle to go to the airport and they then told us we would have to walk a mile at 10pm to meet them at an off site location because they didn’t take into consideration how bad the street close would be.

Orfa was not having that. She secured us a taxi that was going to be able to come 2 blocks from the hotel and not only that, the driver met us at the hotel and took our bags to the car.

Orfa, I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality. It is always nervous traveling to other counties and navigating the language and culture but you were just amazing. Thank you!

When Orfa was not there, I was left to work with Henry who was just as amazing. Henry made sure we got to our rides and anything we needed he got for us. Even to a bottle of water at midnight. Thank you Henry!

The rest of the staff was amazing. Sorry if I didn’t get everyone’s name but next time I will.

The food was great and it would be best to get the option that comes with breakfast as they have a beautiful restaurant onsite with some amazing food offerings.
