Fort Kochi Beach Inn — Hotel in Kerala

Location: Superb. Just 50 meters from the Fort Kochi Beach and also all major monuments of fort kochi are in close proximity of less than 1 km.

Clean & cosy Rooms: I think in the price range of 2.5k, this is a very well maintained property in the old city.

Ambience outside: You can enjoy the beauty of colonial structures by just peeping outside the window or balcony.

Room Service: Basic but quick and good. Decent jio wifi. Limited menu of freshly prepared vegetarian food.

Staff: Thumbs up to Ms. Any and Mr. Febin for guiding so well and taking good care.

Caution for Prospective Guests and Suggestion for the owner of the property:

No lift. So senior citizens with mobility restrictions or differently abled should avoid this property for the time being.

The Hotel Reception is not Air Conditioned. If you arrive early, the possibility that you have to sweat heavily while waiting for the check-in time is very high. So, please co-ordinate before arrival. Thanks to Ms. Any, I had to suffer humidity for just 30 minutes and she let me in at 10:30 AM.

I would request the Property owner to install AC at the reception which will not just provide comfort to your guests but also to your competent caretakers Ms. Any and Mr. Febin. Don't you think that they deserve minimum comfort like...

Firstly it was misguiding reviews on Google about the property that made me choose the stay about 3 weeks back. Writing this to ensure people with different expectations don't land up here. Location - 4/5, because it was in one of the remote location in Kochi & nice serene surroundings, so cool place to have walks. Very less automobiles on street, but highly influenced by auto drivers to take rides or local tours. No decent food in nearby locations, there are a few & their cost will equal to 4 star hotels. Service - 1/5, difficult to even get a tea or coffee. Continental plan was included & got only 2 dosas for breakfast, while they served bread and Omlette to foreigners seated next to us. Rooms - 1/5, Very small rooms for that price, we opted for a bigger one that was way too costly. But had not option, had to chose as I didn't want to search for another place to stay. Staff - 3/5, friendly nepalese staff. But they can serve only hot water on demand. The managing team is courteous, but they are not clear in what is available & what is not in the place? VFM - 1/5, I would prefer a better place next time for the 4.6K/night that I had to pay only for the room. I asked them "Is there any additional card fee? and I want to pay by indian currency" and They said "no surcharge",

But i saw he push the US button at a glance, the reciept said there's ""additional 5.4 US dollor"" and paid via US dollor🤪 (its additional currency exchange tax)

I was in India for 3 weeks and using same card but never happen like this. even the small tiny restaurant give me indian currency reciept.

but!! They say it is my problem of the international card and it is usual situation and they have no mistake🤣 and never say sorry. (that's why I angry of them besides of the small tax.🤬🤬)

Furthermore they don't cancel the card pay🤣 The old man D manager said he couldn't cancel and if he can do, never want to cancel it for me🤯

He said i, myself should solve this problem with the local bank and go to bazzar for arguing! what the...🤣🤣

After the police came up, they give me the difference and that's ended. and there's no sorry from manager (just intern's sorry 2days later)
