We ordered 3 items: Grilled Fish- Cost Rs. 400. Butterfish. Cooked to perfection, very tasty, served a bit late, hence was not very hot. But still, very excellent! Chicken Biryani - Quantity was good, but the taste- not so much. It was neither bland, nor spicy, nor tasty. It cost 120 and tasted like that, I think. We were continuously picking out whole spices, and thus could not even taste the food. Prawns Masala! Never ever ever order this ever! It was the worst. Cost 300, quantity abysmal. We got 4 small and 9 tiny prawns. 13 in total. For rs.300 in a seaport! We get more and better prawns in Bengaluru's Meghana foods! For a similar price too... Even in the pic, you may count 14, but one of them was actually a tomato- the only soft one. The prawns were overcooked and hard! I do not know if they were cooked in coconut oil or vanaspati (hydrogenated vegetable oil)- but it refused to be washed off the plate!

The place is located well and the person managing the place was very courteous and humble. But the quantity and quality of the prawns and taste of the biryani left a lot...

A very simple, no-fuss restaurant shack on the north-west of Kochi beach, which serves excellent food at very decent and affordable prices, and has a great atmosphere as a result of its location.

All seating is outside on simple but very comfortable tables. We dined in the evening, and it was very pleasant. There are parasols to keep the sun out during the day, which are removed in the evening.

We ordered two dishes, a mango fish curry with rice and a banana leaf fish which was marinated and grilled, and were presented with a very decent-sized white snapper which was split in half and used to create both dishes.

Both dishes were just lovely, and the flesh of the fish was so succulent and flavorful. There are so many other dishes available, including other seafood, and I'm sure all of it is as good as what we had.

We really enjoyed dining at Maples, and the staff were also very friendly and helpful. In particular the owner was very decent and helped us with another issue that we had, which we were very...

🌟 An Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Maples Seafood Restaurant 🌟

We had the pleasure of visiting Maples Seafood Restaurant during our Kochi trip, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable dining experiences ever. The moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by a warm, inviting ambience with a perfect coastal charm.

What truly stole the show was the exceptionally fresh and flavorful seafood. We indulged in a big, perfectly grilled fish, crispy prawns fry, and a soul-satisfying prawns gravy that was nothing short of divine. Every bite was an explosion of rich coastal spices and ocean-fresh taste. Honestly, we’ve never tasted seafood this delicious before — it was pure bliss on a plate!

The hospitality, the ambiance, and most importantly, the authentic Kerala seafood magic made our visit a memory we’ll cherish forever. If you're anywhere near Kochi, Maples is an absolute must-visit. 🌊🦐🐟

✨ 10/10 – A true gem for seafood lovers. Highly...

We came for dinner and ordered surmai, white snapper curry, two styles of beef, regular and wheat porotta. All of the food was excellent, especially the surmai and dry beef. If I could give the service more than 5 stars, I would. The owner was very kind and made a drink to help settle a stomach ache for one member of our group. He made sure to say it was made from Bisleri to accommodate foreign tourists. I also ended up swallowing a small fish bone during dinner, and he gave a plate of rice to help me dislodge it from my throat. The restaurant is along the beach, and while it doesn’t look like much, it’s definitely worth the trip.
