Pondy Heights - Suites and Studios — Hotel in Puducherry

My stay was from Jan 4 to Jan 5. In simple words, we truly experienced great hospitality at this hotel, and the stay was so satisfying that you won’t regret it, even a bit.

Pros:

Hospitality: One of the best hospitality experiences you’ll find in Pondicherry. I’ve stayed at Le Royal Park too, but this level of hospitality feels like going to grandma’s place for the weekend—everything is taken care of so well (not exaggerating).

Location: Perfectly situated, very close to White Town and the beach (around 700 meters). It’s located near Petit Canal and above Fabindia, right in the city center. All utilities are easily accessible.

Staff: As mentioned, the hospitality is top-notch. If you face any problem, the owner responds immediately—either in person or via a call—and resolves issues quickly. I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade since I was traveling as a couple (subject to availability). The staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

Rooms: The rooms are exceptionally clean and maintained daily. The ambiance is fantastic, and I loved the bathroom’s glass doors!

Safety: The property is guarded by security, and parking is in a secure, closed area within the building’s basement. Safety is well taken care of.

Cons: Honestly, nothing I can think of—SUPER!

Things that can be improved: •⁠ ⁠Breakfast options could be provided (but they are already working on it). •⁠ ⁠While the location is great, on Sundays, proactive arrangements for customer parking would be helpful. However, the owner mentioned that valet service or nearby parking areas could be arranged if you contact her. •⁠ ⁠Adding hair dryers in the bathrooms would be a nice perk.

Conclusion With this level of service quality, we highly recommend this place. If you’re new to Pondicherry, this is definitely the place to stay. We would love to book here again when visiting Pondicherry in the future!

My stay at Pondy Heights was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that instantly made me feel at home. The hotel is beautifully maintained, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing – perfect for enjoying Pondicherry.

What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone here is incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They go out of their way to make sure every guest feels comfortable and well looked after. A very special thanks to Mr. Sudhagar, the manager, and Richard, who truly made our stay exceptional. Both of them were not only extremely professional and kind but also very approachable and caring. They patiently guided us with excellent recommendations on places to visit and eat, which turned out to be some of the best experiences of our trip. Their dedication and personal touch made us feel valued as guests.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the experience to be underwhelming for the price paid. The room itself was decent, but the air conditioning was inadequate, making the stay uncomfortable. When booking, breakfast was included in the listing, but upon arrival, I was informed that there actually isn’t a full breakfast available—only complimentary coffee(for which I was woken up at 8 AM and served in paper cups) since the property does not have a restaurant. This was disappointing and felt misleading, as it differed from what was advertised.

Parking was technically available, but due to the busy Sunday market, the entire street was crowded with sellers and buyers. Navigating the car in and out was extremely stressful and nearly impossible at times, which added unnecessary hassle to my stay. Considering this situation, they could have intimated us early, so I know what I signed up for!
