Raas Leela : A Luxury Boutique Resort — Hotel in Rajasthan

The worst Experience of my life. If there are marks to be given to this restaurant out of 5, I would love to give ( -20 ). I don't want people to fall in this hard trouble which I had. I don't know how to start explaining about my experience.

First of all, if you are ready to walk for 20 minutes on a hard slope where no car, autoriksha, cab, taxi & other vehicles goes. It's in a old udaipur city. Even you won't see any sign board on road where to go. Heartly request is don't even try to take aged family members or senior citizen to this place.

When we hardly reached there, in restaurant, nobody was there. In the sense, no any customer was there and not even any waiter was there. We had to find them. After 5 minutes, one guy came to me & gave the menu to us.

As you already aware, the cheapest & most wanted vegetable 'Onion' which is being served by from small Dhaba to Five Star Hotel, everywhere you will get as a normal and simple salad to make your food more tasty. But here, Onion is chargeable for Rs. 40/- per plate. Hardly 1.5 full onions were cutted in the plate and one lemon was cutted there. Nothing else. For which they charge Rs. 40/-. Ok Accepted. We thought they must have good quality food for which they are charging. I said No Problem ! Give it.

Let's order few things then we'll decide and order another items so I decided to order 1 Sabji as Paneer Butter Masala & 2 Butter Roti (1 for me & 1 for my wife ). When we gave an order, after that, for couple of minutes, again nobody was around. Again we had to find the person.

Paneer Butter Masala was added by Bright Red colour and quantity was also not that enough. The butter Tandoori roti, being a male I was not able to make a small piece by my hand to eat it.

After my mind got frustrated, I was wondering some sweet or cool drink like Mojito ( I always used to have ) or Smoothies or a Cocktail in the menu which can change my mood as well as taste of mouth, there was nothing out of these. I asked that fellow, he said 'Sir, we have only Lassi & Gulab Jamun' which I was not feeling much suitable with items which I had already ordered.

Finally, I eat half Roti hardly and left it. I asked the man, "Where to go for hand wash? He replied : Sir, go down and take right." It took two minutes to reach to the room for washing hands & when i came back to my table, he gave us Finger Bowl to wash hands. I don't know what was happening.

I simply smiled and paid my bill amount to counter & we left the place.

Again same thing, in hot sunlight we had to walk a lot in a sloppy road and after 0.5 km walk, we got Autoriksha by luck. I said him that leave us there where i can find a cab or Taxi to reach my hotel. Hardly he drove 0.3 km & he took Rs. 100/-. Actually as per what he drove, i was above to give him Rs. 20/- but ......... now my mind was not working. I gave him i told my self, Nishant, Isko bhi paisa de de. Yahan sab log ek hi hai.

Friends, its my personal request as well as advice. It's better to stay hungry or to have lunch or dinner at some Dhaba which is managed by some poor people. There are two benefits, first you will be more happy to eat fresh food and second, those poor people will get benefited with earning small amount of money.

The reason i have given them 3 star is because of there booking counter - we have booked for this place for 2 days 1 booking is done from aAgonda application as they where giving best price and second booking we have made directly from the hotel 🏨 Hotel never informed us that they parking is going to be paid so when we arrived this place - the gentleman has informed us that parking needs to be paid by us for which we denied and the first thing we were doing after coming to property was argument that we are not going to pay for the parking as it was not informed to us in prior and it was not mentioned online as well. Finally after 30 mins of discussion/argument they agreed to pay for it. Second thing the room committed by the property over the phone was different - so we have need to argue for that as well. Thirdly when we where paying the final bill over the check out the property booking counter has increased the room price by 500 and we need to do the argument again on the same. So, the experience of staying in the property was nice , food taste is amazing, view from hotel restaurant is amazing in night 🌃 but the experience i had faced during check in and check out is horrible and i would suggest to book there hotel online and if you are having any word with property guys do record the same because they can filp...

This is a lakeside hotel.

Hotel ambience is good with a nice view of the lake Pichola Lake and the Taj Lake Palace. Food is good Major attractions like City Palace, Ambrai Ghat, Ganghor ghat, Bagor ki Haveli etc. in the old city are just at walking distance

The rooms/ cottages need renovation since the tents are very old and dusty. The room lighting is also very poor. Room cleanliness is just average. Rooms are not sound proof and you can hear the people outside talking/shouting.

The main problem with this hotel is the road which leads to the hotel, we need to pay a minimum of Rs 150 to Rs 200 auto drivers for every entry and exit.

Hotel people will give 2 options for us to choose for sightseeing, an auto-rickshaw and rent a bike, which are costly. You can hire auto rickshaw or bike on our own which will be cheaper

I requested the manager over there to reserve a table for dinner again and again during our stay, but he refused to reserve any table saying that he cannot reserve any table for new year night. But later when I went for dinner, I found atleast two tables were reserved for some one else. This is found to be discriminatory and the hotel should not favour some guests...
