Last month we visited Sky for dinner, the food was excellent but the service and approach as well as attitude of the staff was very disappointing. As it was my birthday my husband had booked a place for a couple and he had requested for a pastry and a candle to commemorate the occasion. The place was busy, it was a full house, we were also not in a rush, after all we went there to celebrate my birthday!! We ordered our food and my husband enquired about the pastry and candle in response to that lady who was taking orders nodded. So we went on with our dinner expecting her to oblige. We had ordered chicken tangri kabab for starters, the kababs came without the chutney, we informed the attendant of the other table as the lady attending to us was nowhere to be seen. We kept waiting but they seemed to have forgotten all about it. On reminding them multiple times finally the chutney came by that time we were almost going to finish the dish. The place was full and there were mostly two ladies running around taking orders from almost all the tables, there were other staff but they didn't seem very active. Then finally we finished our dinner and again my husband now for the third time asked for the pastry and candle to which the lady went back to ask her manager, probably to ask, then comes back only to tell us it is chargeable!! Seriously!! what did you think if we are paying for the entire bill we wouldn't pay for a pastry!! U needn't have to spell it out really!! It was such a spoiler!! First of all if you are soooo scared about guests not paying for a single pastry then you should have clarified about it when my husband called earlier!! Anyway by then the whole mood was spoiled and you had nothing more than black forest pastry which is my least favourite!! So we came back with a bad taste in our mind about the place. My recent visit left me with mixed feelings. While the ambiance and service were exceptional, the food quality left much to be desired.

Ambience and Cleanliness: Excels in creating a perfect ambiance. The rooftop setting offers a breathtaking view of the city from above. The attention to cleanliness was commendable, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.

Service and Staff: The staff at Sky deserve special mention for their friendliness and attentiveness. They went out of their way to assist not only the adults but also made thoughtful gestures to accommodate elders and entertain kids. Top-notch service truly enhances the dining experience.

Culinary Highlights and Lowlights: While Sky shines in many aspects, the food quality was a letdown. I found that most chicken dishes were poorly cooked, with issues like overcooking and unpleasant odors. However, the prawn tempura stood out as a must-try option, offering a delightful contrast to the disappointments.

The weekend visit was surprisingly uncrowded, providing an opportunity for a relaxed dining experience.

Specific dish experiences: The fish fry was marred by overpowering spices, rendering it nearly inedible. The chicken in the fried rice had an off-putting smell, which greatly affected the overall taste. The calamari rings in the salad were overcooked, resulting in a rubbery texture.

On the positive side, I enjoyed the coconut milk soup with chicken and found the combination of prawn tempura and cashews in the chicken and cashew dish to be pleasing.

In conclusion, Sky shines brightly in terms of ambience and service, making it an ideal spot for a memorable dining experience. However, they falls short when it comes to food quality, particularly in the preparation of chicken dishes. With a bill of around 8k, one would expect a higher standard of cuisine. I celebrated my birthday at Sky, the rooftop poolside view restaurant on the 20th floor, with my girlfriend. The panoramic view complemented the splendid dining experience, making it a memorable evening.

Service: Our waiter, F-A, was the epitome of hospitality. His patience and detailed explanations of each dish enhanced our dining experience significantly.

Cuisine: We commenced with sushi, which, despite its delectable taste, was slightly smaller in size compared to other places. The highlight of the night was the Kunafa Paneer, an absolute gastronomic delight, scoring a perfect 10/10 for its impeccable flavor, texture, and presentation.

The Tempura appetizer was delicious, though it stood in the shadow of the remarkable Kunafa Paneer. It would pair well as a side dish with a different main course.

The 'Kollywood' mocktail, with its subtle litchi essence, was visually appealing but had a mild taste that could be enhanced to better complement the flavorful dishes.

The Veg Ramen, served with an intriguing 'curry sambal', offered an authentic Japanese experience with a spicy Southeast Asian twist. It was a culinary journey in itself!

Dessert: We wrapped up with 'Namelaka', a chocolate lover's dream. It started promisingly with its assorted chocolate layers but eventually became overwhelmingly sweet.

Ambience: 5/5 - Breathtaking rooftop views with a serene poolside setting. Service: 5/5 - Impeccable and attentive. Food: 3/5 - Overall, a blend of hits and misses, but mostly delightful experiences.
