HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY AND DISRESPECTFUL STAFF - The standard of the food has gone down comparatively over the last 5 years. Also you can see the most unfriendly staff employed here.

We were asked to 'talk like ladies' by the lady at the billing counter in gangotree t.nagar! Today my friends and I had an very unacceptable situation at this place. We were a group of four girls meeting after a year, expecting a memorable evening but ended up spoiling it and regretting choosing this place. And all we wanted was a good place to have chat! So we were casually talking and noticed the lady at the counter first staring at us and telling us to be quiet since she couldn't hear her order on the phone, which was like really far. We respected that and shifted the table far far away from her. After an hour we realize she first asked the cleaning person to come clear our table and clean it. She stood there for almost 10 minutes listening to our conversations and staring at us. Guess it was time for her to leave and came to us and said if there's anything else to order you can or clear the table. Funnily it was just us and 6 other customers and there were many empty tables. My friend got very angry and started pointing out what the lady did and she exclaimed saying WERE YOU ALL TALKING LIKE LADIES? That was when we got very irritated, definitely shouted at her and walked out. We also told her we would be writing bad reviews and spreading the word about this to the world and make sure we or our friends or any respectful person, specially proud women will never walk into this place again. I honestly think it was inappropriate and disrespectful for the staff to talk this way to the customer and spoil customer relationships which will affect your business. We have heard complaints before about the lady at the billing counter and I think it's high time she gets fired before she spoils your business and turnover. I would like to bring to the notice of the management that I also saw the staff behind the counter taking money from a customer and filling extra chutneys in a box that she had brought from her house. She did not take a parcel and was dining in so it doesn't make sense to take separate parcel in her vessel. The word has been spread, and this instance is definitely going viral, And we want to make people aware of the treatment they get the minute they walk into gangotree, t.nagar. We definitely take the remark by the lady in the billing counter personal. We are all well mannered independent hardworking individuals who go out to eat to forget routines and get away from busy lives. Acting like some school teacher was being immature and shows the management has not done its part on training the staff on what and how they should approach customers and manners. The world is evolving and it's just not right for people to comment and branding about BEING GIRLS, or BEHAVING A...

I love this place so much and especially for their curd. I have had chat items from many places but Gangotri is always unique among them. I have not seen this taste from anywhere. They have unique way to prepare that curd. One or two chat items can completely fill our stomach and we will end up eating nothing after that.

I visited this place today after a very long time. Before few years my office was near this place. I didn't know that it was nearby initially and later when I came to know that it was nearby, I ordered dhai papdi chat almost everyday and had it. Till today Dhai papdi chat is my favourite chat from this shop. My office colleagues were also ordering regularly from this place. My office now changed to a different place far away from Gangotri and nowadays I miss this place.

One thing that I noticed was that, those days few years back the place used to be highly crowded. Today I don't know what happened but the place was not very crowded. It should be either people are ordering by sitting inside the house or it should be that the place has lost its popularity. From my view the taste was good and I was really satisfied. I guess people are ordering from their location these days keeping the outlet not...

My rating here is based on their service pattern over the last 7 years.

Last week the outlet charged me for 8 itens for takeaway and forgot to pack 3 items. When I reached home I called and checked, they indeed forgot and said they'd dunzo it. After seeing my address they feigned ignorance of address and made me get it picked while telling me they will pay 80/- for delivery. Even though the pick up charges for me was 153/- I agreed. It's been a week no one has paid that money to me despite making a false promise and error being theirs.

I just went to ask why she hasn't paid, she divides 152/- (not 153/- by two) and tells me I'll get 76/- store credit. Who behaves this way with a customer who is a regular for 7 years? Clearly business ethics and behaviour isn't their forte and thw owner/ cashier has always displayed poor behaviour, this was the last straw to not give them any business any more.

The chats are decent but high time they pick up some etiquette, ethics on customer service...
