Overall Assessment: Based on the food i tasted, the restaurant appears to fall short in delivering an authentic Gujarati dining experience. The combination of cold food, limited options, and slow service significantly detracts from the overall experience. The positive aspects of ambiance and welcome drink are overshadowed by the negative factors. Recommendations for the Restaurant: Improve Food Quality: Ensure food is served hot and fresh, especially for dishes like rotis and thepla. Enhance Service: Train staff to be more attentive and efficient, especially when handling customer requests. Focus on Authenticity: Emphasize the restaurant's Gujarati roots and strive to provide an authentic dining experience.
By addressing these issues, the restaurant can significantly improve its reputation and attract more customers seeking a genuine Gujarati culinary experience.
Key Complaints: Location: Difficulty finding the restaurant, especially for first-time visitors. Menu: Limited options, primarily focusing on thali. Food Quality: Cold food, lack of variety, and disappointment compared to expectations. Service: Slow service, especially for additional requests. While every thing about food is good the management is requested to take note of two things immediately - one is parking and the other is manpower. The security is sitting one furlong away from the main gate between Pazhamudir Solai and Godrej showroom. The famous Shanta Ayurvedic hospital is also inside. Few times after entering inside in a car, the security stops you midway when some car or vehicle comes out and you are made to take a reverse option. The security should be posted near the gate and a better parking arrangement is urgently required there. Now you can park only three cars Inside. Next urgent issue is about manpower. There are only 2 staff to attend to nearly 12 to 15 tables. While the dishes are delicious the service takes a beating during rush hours. They are unable to handle servicing, cleaning, handling cash or cards and what not. Recommended. Different cool atmosphere and ambience. Good variety of dishes. Ground floor. Wheelchair accessible. You will become patient once...
Read moreAmbience is good. Staff very polite, chose Thali, did not give choice of poori and roti, instead brought roti for everyone. Tables still sticky from previous customer.
While Thali has a variety not everything is upto the make, specially the starter like dhabeli not upto the mark.
Rotis where thick and warm, should have been Phulkas fresh off the Tava.
Tamatar sev and the also baingan gravies were very nice and deserved a second helping.
Rice kichdi was average should have been served after the Rotis were finished rather than dump everything on the plate.
Aamras was extra but not upto the mark.
Shrikand was extra order and average.
Samosa we ordered extra, while it was freshly made the Samosa shell was oily and substandard, the filling was very average.
Sabudhana vada was good.
Bhel poori taste was OK but Bhel was not crisp at all... Simply soaking in chutney.
Overall place needs a overhaul from a kitchen and and presentation...
