The dining experience at Batam 88 in Bali was the worst place I have eaten at in my five years of visiting the island. My god, they charged us nearly $40 for two meals! We decided to order noodles and squid, but what we received was nothing short of a disappointment. The noodles tasted like a reheated instant noodles packet that had been cooked in a microwave for two minutes, and the squid was so rubbery it felt like we were eating a rubber boot. Despite these issues, I must emphasize that the staff, particularly the waitress, was incredibly nice and accommodating. I believe it wasn't the fault of the staff, but rather the management that led to such a disappointing experience. The poor quality of the food and the exorbitant prices were likely beyond their control. Judging by the reviews on Google, it's not surprising that this place has such a bad reputation. I rarely leave negative reviews, but even after taking a day to calm down, I was still appalled by the low quality of the food and the exorbitant prices.
