Hartaning House — Hotel in Pulau Bali

The on-site staff here are excellent and the location of the hotel is great.

This place should have received many more positive reviews if it had good owners/management. It shows that they have not invested into the place for long now. The rooms are collecting dust, mold and calcification. Ants are everywhere in the room. The decor is ad-hoc and not at all inspiring. Our room’s door had a crack in it. Our washroom’s faucet dripped water. They provide you with what is more like dish soap for the hand soap and shampoo in the washroom.

No thought has been given to sound-proofing, so you’ll for sure be heard by your neighbours and those in the courtyard. The owner’s dog kept parking non-stop the first night.

Specific to our situation: we requested an early checkout when the issues kept adding up. We were refused one and the management kept ignoring and rerouting our Expedia...

I hate to do this, but I believe for what we paid we could have stayed at a nicer place that was closer to everything. The staff were delightful and very friendly, which was the highlight, but unfortunately the overall experience was tainted by the fact that the toilet was not attached to the floor. The shower was directly over the toilet making it impossible to use. The power went out and the water disappeared as well. The whole hotel was so much smaller than it seemed in the pictures and the bed was quite uncomfortable. I think with some improvements, it would have been worth the money, but as it is now, I wouldn’t...

It was an amazing stay at Hartaning house. The entire staff made us feel very comfortable, they were so polite and helpful and always available if you need anything. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, they were extremely clean and fitted well in our budget. The pool is amazing, it feels great to soak yourself in after a long and busy day plus they let us stay in the pool till late.. The property is close to a lot of good food places, but it's recommended to use a two wheeler scooter for your travels and they happen to give them on rent. Long story short, the entire experience was pleasant.....
