Nick’s homestay — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We loved our stay at Nick's so much we extended it. It's a beautiful peaceful oasis in the heart of busy Ubud. The rooms are huge, the bed is very comfortable and there's a spacious balcony which overlooks the beautiful gardens. Not a massive choice for breakfast but what there is is very tasty and can be enjoyed on your balcony or in the common areas. The staff are super friendly and helpful - we booked a tour and transfer with them which were spot on. It is on one of Ubud's busiest streets but set back so you can't hear the road. It's a three minute walk to the large supermarket where many of the minibuses drop off and you can walk to Monkey Forest in about 10 minutes. Only tiny improvement would be a fridge in the room. The hotel is beautiful, the location is convenient, the room is spacious and clean, the breakfast is tasty, and they take it to your room! Although, there is a few things to point: we heard a band next to the room playing music until around 12pm 2 of our 4 days… very noisy and uncomfortable, we didn’t have hot water every day and also, we have a misunderstood because they said that the laundry service was 25.000 Rp/kilo… we ask if it was possible to get the clothes back the same day and they said yes without saying anything else, when we received the receipt, the kilo was at 35 so we ended up paying 105.000Rp x3kg because they said we use the “express service” it is important to communicate the prices clearly! 10/10. Everything here was so good that it is just hard to point something out better than the rest.

First of all, the value for money in this place is brilliant. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are very nice. The pool also is perfect for relaxing.

The personnel is a whole new level. They are always smiling, trying to help out and making you feel like home. We had some problems with our trip and they gave us the best help the could.

The location is excellent as well. 1 minute away from the monkey forest and 15 away from the palaces and the market.
