During my recent visit to Ubud, I had the pleasure of experiencing two exceptional treatments at Sacred Ubud Spa: the Classic Balinese Coconut Oil Massage (90 mins) and the Foot & Hand Reflexology Massage (60 mins).

The Classic Balinese Coconut Oil Massage was a deeply rejuvenating experience. The massage therapist skillfully worked from the tips of my toes to the crown of my head, ensuring that every part of my body was thoroughly relaxed. The pressure applied throughout the session was just right—firm enough to relieve tension but still incredibly soothing. The use of coconut oil added an extra layer of relaxation, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished.

Next, I indulged in the Foot & Hand Reflexology Massage, which focused on both my hands and feet. The therapist took great care in massaging the soles of my feet, paying attention to every detail. The reflexology technique was executed with precision, making me feel an incredible sense of relief and relaxation.

As for the spa environment, it reminded me of a modest, somewhat unpolished izakaya in Japan—not the most pristine or luxurious setting, but one that’s undeniably authentic and comfortable. What the spa lacks in opulence, it more than makes up for with the skill and expertise of its therapists. The quality of the massage was top-notch, and I left feeling completely refreshed and revitalized.

They escorted me to the room take off all except underwear.. thinking hmmm should I take off top first or bottom good thing I did take off bottom and then looked around There’s big big big super big window with breathtaking rice field farm view !! And rice field not only have 🌾 there’s human ! Yes ! Farmers working here and there not only 1 !!! Not only female !! There’s male and they are so close !!! I wanted close the curtain but there’s none just see thru curtain useless I had to cover my body and then laydown but thinking I can clearly see them that means they can see me !!!

Anyway massage started 2 therapist came in started massage me first maybe 5-10 min Only 1 person massaged me Later 1 hop on they did my both leg And then 1 is missing again So I looked around that person just sat on the bathtub 🛁 doing nothing 🤬

This place was so nice I came back two more times and brought my friends who also requested that we come back.

The atmosphere was perfect - clean, lovely ambient noises between the light music and the sounds of splashing water from the koi pond in the lobby area. The foot massage chairs in the lobby were comfortable. The massage rooms had a nice breeze from the open windows. We were offered water in real glasses before our treatments and ginger tea and watermelon post treatment.

The quality of the massages was also amazing. I particularly loved the hot stone massage which was magical.

For my first visit I asked about availability via WhatsApp and got an immediate response and made an appointment for two hours later. The next two times with my two friends we walked in and we’re accommodated within 5-10 minutes. Cash only, but absolutely...
