My girlfriend and I recently visited the Ubud Monkey Forest Silver Class to create custom rings as a present for my birthday, and it was one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences we’ve ever done! From start to finish, the process was absolutely magical.
We started by selecting our ring templates from a massive selection of inspiration there were so many different choices- bracelets, rings, earrings and more, the staff guided us through every step without helping too much to the point where it wasn’t our own. They made the whole experience feel approachable, even for complete beginners like us. What made it extra special was the opportunity to create our rings from scrap metal—we melted it down ourselves! Watching the raw materials transform into something beautiful was such a cool experience
The hands-on nature of the workshop was amazing. We sized the rings ourselves, shaped them, and polished them to perfection. Each step felt like a new thing to learn. They encouraged creativity and gave us room to truly make the rings our own, which added a deeply personal touch.
Now we have these gorgeous, one-of-a-kind rings that are not only stunning but also filled with memories of a beautiful day we’ll never forget. I can’t recommend the Ubud Monkey Forest Silver Class enough for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a cool way to spend a couple hours. The whole experience only came to about rp400,000 (~£20) per person

Read moremy boyfriend and i recently visited monkey forest silver class and we had an amazing time! it’s definitely one of the best activities we have done in ubud so far!
we arrived at 11am and we finished at around 2pm. the whole process was really fun and rewarding to see how our rings turned out. the staff were very friendly and we had one teacher with us both throughout the whole process so they’re always there to help you!
they showed us lots of different jewellery examples for us to pick from and recreate (rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, charms). we were also able to customise anything to how we wanted. we started by melting down the silver, then pouring it into a mould to create a block of silver. we then hammered, and flattened in down and were able to size it to our ring size. we then did the engravings by hand (hammering stencils into the silver). and finished by polishing and cleaning the rings!
we loved how they let us do everything by ourselves and talked us through each step so you can really experience the process of jewellery making!
our teacher was Tut Pasta Bagus and he was so lovely and helpful! we really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend to anyone coming to ubud. it’s in a very good location, close to the centre of ubud, up the road from the monkey forest. very memorable experience and we are so happy with...
Read more10/10 amazing experience! we had the absolute best time and was unforgettable and memorable!
the team are super friendly, they give you water and crackers before you start and will often ask if you want more water, very hospitable! You can choose which ring youd like to make or you can show them a personalised one that youd prefer, and they’ll try their absolute best to make it even if it is on the more difficult side and takes a longer amount of time. We were welcomed warmly by Arim who helped us throughout the process and checked in on us to make sure we were happy! We loved talking to him and he was amazing- super helpful, speaks really good english and very friendly :)
Made and Sugita helped us to create our rings and they were amazing aswell , truly talented- they first show you each step and then you carry it on, by the end you really do feel like you made a full ring- from little silver balls into a fully polished and personalised ring! They are so kind and Made even polished our other rings that we had on
Not to mention so affordable and very cheap for such an incredible experience!
This really made our trip in Bali and we couldn’t recommend them enough!
