This is our forth and updated review as a returning guest to Prabhu Ubud Villas.
Upon arrival we were immediately felt at home. The family and staff are simply so attentive, caring and professional.
We didn’t want to stay anywhere else in Ubud and since we have travelled to Ubud numerous times we have begun to really enjoy the location as it has some excellent amenities within a few minutes stroll. I can confirm from reading some reviews on Booking.com that some people are just never happy. Poor them.
The laundry service is incredible. Something I could happily get use to back home. The are a couple of mini markets close by which stock pretty much all the necessities one needs.
Salsa Cafe 2 mins away, offers a damn good selection of authentic Indonesian dishes paired with some of the best Italian pizza and pasta one could expect in Italy.
The rooms are clean. Don’t let people say they are not. Yes our top floor bathroom has a vent system that can enable sound to travel but no one can see. The hot water needs to travel some distance from the hot water tank so please be patient as it takes just a couple of minutes for the shower to reach its temperature. And don’t worry there is plenty!
I love lizards . But none came into our room and if the did we would not mind. I have had bats and hornets fly into a room in France once and I would have a lizard or two any day.
The breakfast is brilliant. Sure it’s not going to please everyone, but try the Indonesian noodles - eat what Balinese people eat and save the egg and toast fetish for your return home. If eggs are your thing. Try the omelette. Coffee is delicious and the fruit salad is off the chain good.
Would we return? Absolutely we will. Look for the Piwakawaka Fantial in the garden.
The pool is also great. Not once was it overcrowded or seemed too busy to have a dip.
Hope this review can enable you to book your visit.
The family are so caring and honest. We can’t wait to see them in 2026

Read moreMy partner and I had the privilege of staying here for 5 weeks. I am always a little skeptical about booking such a long stay at a single place when you don't know anything about the area or the villa itself besides reading a few reviews. Prabhu Ubud Villa surpassed all of my expectations and made our time in Ubud unforgettable!
We were comfortable for our entire, long stay. The bed was cozy, the room was very clean, wifi was great - better than most cafes we went to, AC worked, and there was hot water. They offer laundry services, breakfast to your room or pool every morning, and daily cleaning.
We got a beautiful unit on the second floor overlooking the pool and rice fields. The balconies off of the rooms are private and large.
The location is a short drive from Ubud Centre (about 10 minutes or so), so a bit outside of the hustle and bustle of central Ubud in a more quiet area but close enough to get into town easily. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store and ATM's only about a 5-minute drive away.
The staff is incredible. Every day they go above and beyond for their guests. We got to know everyone so well since we were there for so long. This was such a special aspect of our stay that I wasn't expecting - the relationships with the staff and owners who are all so involved in the happiness and comfort of their guests. We...
Read moreHighly recommend this unassuming Villa. Lots of positive features to the space. Firstly, understand that you're in Bali at a mom+pop Villa, not run by corporate giants. There's so much charm and love poured out into this place.
Recommend getting rooms in the upper levels as the bathrooms at the downstairs suites are pretty much outside.
There are 4 staff members here that we were very fond of. Very sweet and service with a smile. Please tip them well. Brought our luggage upstairs for us. Cleaned our rooms. Cleaned the property etc.
Tiny little bugs here and there, but they would spray and clean when requested (again, a tropical island is bound to have insects)
Breakfasts are simple and local, not a buffet style. Pick a meal, pick a drink.
We enjoyed the pool and the view overlooking a rice field. Serene and quiet. Only 8 suites in the whole Villa so it's not overcrowded.
Small narrow lanes to get to the property, so large buses can't get through, but a van will be able to get to the Villa.
I couldn't get used to the large pebble walkways, so if you have mobility issues, wheelchair, or need cane and walkers, this property may not be for you.
Restaurants to check out nearby, ACK chicken, and cloud nine Korean...
