This apartment is located in Rome Center. There is no lift as the building is old. But the location makes up for that minor detail. We stayed on floor 1 with a one bedroom apartment. The apartment is well equipped, rooms are really quite and beds are comfortable. The pictures on this site make the place seem bigger and do not show the furniture we encountered in our apartment (our furniture was quite old and worn out). So far, so good. BUT – Somebody -apparently with a second key- broke into our apartment and stole one of our credit cards. We left the door of the closet open when we left in the morning and the door was closed when we came back late afternoon. That’s how we found out that somebody was in the room and that our CC got stolen. We contacted the owner (Francesco) and asked to check the security cameras. Contrary to what he told us when we checked in, he said that the cameras did not work and continued to reassure us that it was not possible that somebody got into the apartment while we were gone. Other than that, he could not care less. We reported it to the Carabinieri and left the next day. ||Unfortunately, it seems there were a couple of similar incidents last February. Below are a few reviews about this place I found in the Booking.com and TripAdvisor reviews (translated via GoogleTranslator): ||- Cecilia, Argentina, 18 February 2019 , Booking.com The department has serious security problems. Thieves entered and robbed us of money and valuables. ||- Claudia G, Mar 2019, TripAdvisor Some friends who were in January, they have entered and removed their belongings, the cameras did not work and nobody took charge. The receipt of what they paid on admission was never made and no insurance takes over. They also entered other tenants. A horror and no one from the place accompanied this situation!||||- Malala75, Feb 2019, TripAdvisor The place is well located but unfortunately some friends and tenants upstairs entered them carrying their belongings. Ruining his vacation and causing many difficult situations I recommend not to go to that place since not only did they enter the apartment but they were not contained by the administrator named Francesco or his owner. When they arrived they were told that the place was safe with cameras that did not worry. After the fact it turns out that the cameras did not record were only seen by wifi, that when they entered was unplugged All lies nothing sure the site ||- Eduardo Ignacio B, Feb 2019, TripAdvisor The place is well located, but if something happens to us as it happened to us and those upstairs, you do not get any restraint and do not take care of anything, neither the owner nor the administrator do not go is a dangerous place They tell you that it is safe to have cameras and the cameras do not record and those who entered so they can not see them turned off the wifi and entered with the key Do not go ||Again, great location, good apartment,...
Read moreBest location, best host — couldn’t ask for more!! I visited Rome with my husband and two kids from 20/09 to 24/09, and choosing Casa Navona Apartments was definitely the best choice for us!
We were welcomed by Michela, the nicest lady ever! She helped us find the location and even offered to help carry our luggage. Our apartment was on the first floor (no elevator), so we had to climb a few stairs, but that wasn’t a big deal.
The host, Matteo, had left sweets for our kids and wine for us in the fridge, along with some water as well! The location was literally perfect — right next to Piazza Navona, surrounded by lovely cafés and restaurants, and within walking distance of all the main attractions.
The apartment was equipped with everything we needed — towels, slippers, and all the necessary amenities. Matteo was always available whenever we needed anything and was incredibly helpful. My husband forgot his computer mouse at home, and when we asked for a store recommendation, Matteo simply sent us a new one the next morning!
If you’re traveling with little kids like we did, this apartment will definitely be very comfortable. On the day of our departure, there was a surprise bag waiting for us, hanging on the door ❤️ — it included a coloring book, a teddy bear, and a little Christmas ornament.
Would I recommend this apartment to my friends?...
Read moreFirstly I want to mention the host Anna who welcomed us to apartment number 7. She was great to communicate with to organise the trip and, as she knew this was a surprise for my best friend’s 40th birthday, she put up a happy birthday banner and left us a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. Very thoughtful :-)|The apartment is situated on one of the prettiest streets in Rome, where the main attractions are all within walking distance. The apartment itself was lovely, clean and cosy, with two good size double bedrooms - we would have happily stayed for longer, and would return again. Only thing to note is that it is up quite a few stairs with no lift available - fine for us, but not if you have mobility issues. Despite the central location, the apartments are set back from the street so they are nice and quiet and feel very intimate. Much nicer than staying in a hotel! |Overall, this was a perfect stay for us. Would recommend...
