A Culinary Sojourn at Ginny Cocktail Bar
Rome, a city where history, tradition, and modernity collide like a culinary time warp. In this ancient metropolis, amidst the ruins and the romance, lies Ginny Cocktail Bar—an establishment that dances on the edge of contemporary Italian cuisine, leaving patrons like me bewitched, bewildered, and blissfully content.
Ambiance (5/5) Ginny Cocktail Bar embodies the ethos of an urbane and forward-thinking Rome. It's sleek, dimly lit, and the sort of place you might imagine a modern-day Dolce Vita to unfold.
The bar area is a theatre in itself, where mixologists craft liquid masterpieces with the precision of a surgeon and the flair of a maestro.
It's the kind of ambiance that tells you the night ahead holds promise.
Service (5/5) The service at Ginny is as sharp as a Roman gladiator's sword, but with the charm and hospitality that you'd expect from the eternal city.
The staff knows their craft, their cocktails, and their food, and they're more than happy to guide you through the culinary journey that awaits.
Cocktails (5/5) Let's get to the heart of the matter—the cocktails. Ginny is not your run-of-the-mill bar. It's an alchemist's lair, where they mix and match flavours, spirits, and even a touch of magic to concoct drinks that titillate the senses.
From classics done to perfection to the bar's own creations that push the envelope, every sip is a revelation.
The Negroni, a beloved Italian classic, is a must-try here. But don't stop there; venture into their signature Gin cocktails.
The "Bitter Sweet Symphony" is an orchestra of flavours, a harmonious blend of bitter and sweet notes that will have your taste buds applauding.
And for the adventurous, the "Roman Colosseum" is a wild ride, a mélange of spices and spirits that will awaken your palate like a gladiatorial battle.
Food (5/5) While Ginny is known for its cocktails, it doesn't shy away from the kitchen. The food menu is a delightful companion to your libations. The dishes are a creamy, dreamy prelude to the gastronomic symphony.
Ginny Cocktail Bar is a time capsule to Rome's rich history and a window into its gastronomic future. It's a place where old meets new.
Where tradition is kissed by innovation and where the cocktails are made in an art form.
If you find yourself wandering the streets of Rome and you're in the mood for an adventure that transcends time, Ginny Cocktail Bar is your destination.
Raise a glass, savour the moment, and let the flavours of Italy's past and present dance on your...
Read moreInsanely rude! We came around 5:00 starving and desperate for food after missing lunch. The place was completely empty and we made it clear when ordering our drinks that we would like to order very soon. The only menu form was a QR code, which is frustrating to use since their WiFi doesn’t work and we had to use cellular. Each menu section has a time frame and we saw pizza was okay after 4:30. The waiter said no and told us which page we could use. There was only one despite the fact that three of the menus had times that overlapped with 5:00. We shrugged it off and decided to still try to get some food. We waited for a good 15 minuets while 4-5 waiters and staff talked by the bar. We often made eye contact to signal that we were ready to order, but every time one of them came near us they walked right by and down stairs as if we weren’t there. It felt like they were angry that we were there. The wait staff also seemed to be giving a dirty side eye to a group of people sitting in the outside area. We ended up leaving very fed up. I will say, however, the berry spritzer was good… but not good enough to fill the hunger in...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant as we were walking around the outside walls of the Vatican. The Al Fresco dining area caught our attention, but we chose to sit inside instead. The interior was even more an eye catcher with the bar situated right by the entrance.
The food was delicious! We ordered the appetizer sampler that included two types of tartare and a carpaccio. Both tasted great and refreshing. Next we ordered Soleggiata, tomato sauce with a buffalo mozzarella cheese on top. Now, this was the highlight of the meal. It was delicious! For pasta we ordered the RIGATONCINI ALL'AMATRICIANA, the pork cheek in tomato sauce. This is going to be the opposite of the highlight of this meal. It was more of the saltier side of things.
However, the service definitely made up for any of the negatives. The waiter took time to answer all our questions and checked up on us at the right times to make sure we were happy with the meal.
Ambience and vibes kept my fiancé and I wanting to stay, relax, and sip on their refreshing cocktails all night.
