If you are looking for a 5* fancy and modern hotel then this certainly will not be the one for you; for most however it is a perfectly suited hotel as a base in the centre of Rome, only a short walk from the termini station (2 mins), the colosseum (15 mins) and the other main attractions. There are plenty of great restaurants on the doorstep also. The hotel was clean and the staff couldn't be any friendlier. Only 'complaint' if you are to call it as such is that warm water only seems to be available in a morning but you can easily improvise by having a shower just in a morning but as I say the friendliness of the staff working in the hotel which is in such a central location definitely made up for this. All in all, DO NOT take on the other such harsh and negative comments onboard. Stay at this hotel and find out for yourself what it is truly like, it is so much better than what it is made out to be and it doesn't deserve these bad reviews. I can assure you will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel. ||Tips:|• Italian coffee is really strong so you may want to opt for tea at breakfast time instead!|• Buy your drinks to take out with you from the little convenient store a few doors away from the hotel which are a lot cheaper than they are at the main attractions|• Watch out for pickpockets, don't have your phone or any valuables on show as there are plenty of opportunists who will have them off you at any...
Read moreA few weeks after we booked our stay at Hotel Quisisana, we read some reviews on the hotel which made our hearts sink. Endless, cruel reviews stating how poor and dirty the place was, not to mention the comments that read the staff were not friendly at all and that they were rude and ignorant. All throughout our visit, the staff couldn't be any more helpful and polite which made our stay all the more enjoyable. As we continue however, the rooms were basic, fair enough, and the beds weren't the highest of quality, but after a long day of walking and exploring, we were out like a light. Moving onto the bathroom, it was a clean room, but the showers hot water seemed to only last for the morning as not the night as it was cold. The breakfast was lacking variety as you could only have croissants and toast, but it is continental, so what do you expect. However, one MAJOR tip, DO NOT GET THE COFFEE, GET THE TEA INSTEAD, as it is very strong, but that is how the Italians like it so again, what do you expect? Overall, our stay was fantastic, and is a good hotel if you are looking for a basic base for your holiday. If you want an outstanding stay, book in at a 5 star hotel but this hotel, Hotel Quisisana is a good, basic extremely friendly staff, which in the centre...
Read moreThe worst hotel i have ever stayed at. The hotel was a dump and the photos on the website are misleading as to the current condition of the place which has not been maintained for a long time. The bathroom had a leaking toilet and leaking bath that flooded the bathroom floor when you had a shower. There was mould on the walls and the paint was peeling. The room did not have a telephone or safe as advertised and the bar fridge did not work. The carpets had not been washed in years and you dare not walk around barefoot to avoid getting any kind of desease. We complained about the condition of the room and they moved us to another room which wasn't any better but at least this room had tiles on the floor and not carpet. The advertised breakfast was a joke offering only ceral, toasted bread, croissants and tea or coffe. This hotel is advertised as a three star but in actual fact is a 0 star and should be closed down as it's a risk to the publics health and I personaly would not let my dog...
