Hotel Romance — Hotel in Rome

We spent 2 weeks traveling through Italy and had an amazing experience. The only low point of the entire trip was when we were stuck in this awful place for a night. We had initially prepaid through a travel agency for 2 nights here and the location of the hotel was what had initially attracted us. Coincidentally (or not), we experienced a stay similar to the previous reviewer who had claimed the AC was not working when he stayed there. Not only was the AC not working when we were there, the WiFi didn't work and the shower was so small I could not even bend down to grab the soap (and I'm only 5'3" / 112 lbs). The room was musty and smelled strange about arrival and only got worse as the heat penetrated the room. We were so hot we went downstairs at around 2am to ask what was going on ( which is when they informed us the AC wasn't working instead of at check in). We asked for a fan, they didn't have one. We opened a window and the bugs feasted on us. We ended up not getting a lick of sleep but still got charged for 2 nights though we left the next day to go stay at the Radisson Blu hotel which was heaven, especially after this awful experience. We did let the manager know about our experience and gave her the option of refunding us for that 2nd night that we weren't staying. Needless to say, she declined. Long story short: do not stay here! Bad experience: they offered (for a fee) to have a driver at the airport. Guy never showed. The sink leaked. The shower leaked. The air conditioning was broken, and they knew about it before we arrived, but didn't feel like fixing it. The acting manager just asked "Can't you open the window?". Breakfast was quite good...
