So I booked this hotel last min while I was on the tarmac of the plane enroute to Rome. I wanted something close to Termini so I don’t have to drag my luggage around and have an easy ride to the train when I leave for the airport. The price seemed right since I’ll be out most of the day. The hotel is located 2 blocks from the train station. When I arrived, I was greeted by staff. Staff was always friendly at this hotel. But it was too early to check in but I was able to Ieave my luggage there and I went to roam the city. After a few hours of touring the city, I came back to check in. I booked a twin bed and upon arriving, it reminded me of a dorm room in college. Twin bed, a desk, TV, closet, fridge and safe in the closet. It was relatively clean and ok for the purpose of me staying here for 3 nights. The bed was extra firm, or virtually hard cause it didn’t even move when I tossed around in bed. I was so tired that I actually slept comfortably but the second night left me tossing and turning. The Wi-Fi is the worst here. Not only is it slow, it will drop in the middle of browsing. The worst part of the room is the bathroom. There’s a round bowl but some genius though it was a good idea to put an oval seat in so the seats moves while you’re on the bowl. Not only that, part of your thigh will touch the actual bowl if you’re sitting on the toilet when the seat moves. And to top it off, the bidet hits your knees while you are sitting on the toilet. For a small bathroom, that bidet shouldn’t be there cause I’m sure it’s a waste of space. Don’t let me start on that shower. It’s even smaller than a cruise ship shower cause you’ll touch the curtain every time you move and I’m only 125 lbs at 5’3”. Needless to say, water got everywhere when you shower. And here’s the worst part, they make you leave the keys when you leave the hotel. No problem, ppl probably lose their keys when they are touring the city, but when you come back, just tell them a room number and they don’t even check to see if its your room or not and they just hand the key over. Oh and if you want any air because the room is stuffy, you will have to open the window cause the central air is only heat. It’s only March so I don’t know if it’s only seat up to pump heat this time of year. Needless to say, you’ve been warned. I won’t be coming back.

Bed bugs!!! Avoid at all costs. Stayed here from the 2nd of November until the 4th of November. Everything started off well. Got to our room 206 and the shower door was broken and had been replaced with an awful green shower curtain. Was very small in size and awkward to shower. Room felt slightly different from the pictures. The main door was in need of some tlc which people have mentioned already. First night was okay. Headboard of bed kept moving and making banging sounds whenever you moved around on the bed which was very annoying. Woke up Sunday and to my disbelief I saw a bed bug on my friends bed. Absolutely mortified. Unsure if they have been there a while or came from whoever was previously in the room. Had two bites on my elbow which became apparent later on in the day. Friend had some bites too. Told receptionist and he didn’t seem overly concerned. Said to not leave window open yet when we arrived to our room the previous day it was already open. We closed it immediately upon arrival and bed bugs don’t fly so even if we kept it open they aren’t coming through the window. He did apologise for it and moved us to another room on the same floor. Me and my friends stripped the beds to check for any evidence of bed bugs in our new room and it seemed okay so was just hoping it was an isolated case in the one room. Have been paranoid since coming back home hoping I’ve not brought them back and have had to properly wash and double check everything which has been stressful as no one wants bed bugs in their house. Honestly want my money back for having to deal with this. We didn't pay to go to a hotel and have bed bugs in our room. Ruined the whole experience of having a good time really. What a shame. I just hope they have taken it seriously and have got someone professional in to clean that specific room.

If I could give no stars I would, I booked a standard room, room was as small as a shoebox, my partner who is tall but not fat, couldn't even fit in the shower it's so small. The entire hotel had a faint stench of sewerage and cigarettes, sometimes not so faint. No ventilation without opening the windows and heater was controlled by the hotel and was only working at night. Wi-fi was available but I couldn't find an actual signal anywhere in the hotel and especially not in the room. No room service on our second day, no toilet paper and no fresh towels, which after a day getting soaked while walking the streets of Rome was not appreciated. Blankets were from the 19th century, Woolen and itchy but we needed three layered on top of each other to stay warm. There was no breakfast for 3 days of our 4 night stay which we were only informed about when we arrived and they 'politely' discounted 4€ each for the day's that breakfast wasn't available, I wondered how that covered breakfast until our final day, breakfast was a small low quality sweet bread thing with some jam inside (I think this is the hotels version of a Cornetto) and some terrible coffee, On our third day we asked if breakfast was likely to be served the following day, the front desk guy advised us he'd put a note on his system that we did not have to pay the city tax because he didn't think breakfast would be served on the 4th morning, however a different guy was working when we checked out and he clearly did not want to follow through on this offer, he just rudely demanded payment getting hostile when I tried to explain and telling me he couldn't see the other guy who's made the offer. Just disgusting service around.

The staff are lovely, and the hotel did the job for our 6 night stay, but it may leave a lot to be desired depending on your expectations. If you come here expecting a budget hotel experience, I would say think less "Premier Inn" and more "hostel". This doesn't have to be a negative thing, just that it's a good idea to curb expectations. It seems like everything here, from the paint to the bedding, hasn't been updated in many years. The beds are very hard which thankfully I prefer, but I can imagine many people would find them uncomfortable. They also creak massively and just generally everything seems quite old and dated and stained/marked, but not unclean. Our room was really quiet but we were on the top floor so perhaps that made a difference. The AC worked perfectly and the shower was great in both pressure and temperature although again, the age of everything showed as the shower door was broken and didn't close properly. Little details like this make it feel like more of a 2 star experience. We had no problems with the WiFi and the smart TV worked well, playing YouTube videos without issue for our whole stay. As mentioned, the staff are all really lovely and the cleaning crew do their job well from what I could see. The location of the hotel was the biggest plus for us as it was so central to everything we had planned and meant it was so easy to travel around either by foot or using the buses and trains- there was excellent and easily accessible public transport everywhere to and from the hotel. I see some reviews saying the area is dangerous which I didn't experience at all, just that some people are a bit loud at night as you would expect from most cities. Having grown up in London myself, it looked like a normal night time neighbourhood in a big city to me and we had no issues with people at all. In fact everyone was so friendly during our trip. For us, the room itself wasn't the major selling point of staying here so the downsides didn't really bother us at all. However, I understand the negative reviews as well if you have a certain expectation for a 3 star hotel. Over all, I would say it was a positive experience with no major issues for us and we really enjoyed our stay in Rome, but the hotel quality itself I can't really give more...

On arrival to hotel terminal for a 3 night city break we tried to check in early as we had an early flight arrival, arriving at 9am the hotel room was not ready, not a problem we dropped bags and ventured into the city. On trying to check in I noticed the receptionist had a list of arrivals with corresponding room numbers, ours was circled in red biro. |I did think this was strange....|Spent the whole day sight seeing didn't get back till 9.15pm to check in. We were given room number 601. |On seeing the room it's smaller than the pictures appear on the website the shower was so close to the toilet you would potentially step over toilet to access shower. However we unpacked our bag, planned to get our heads down as we've been up since 3am UK time. My partner used the toilet and I used a while later on leaving the bathroom I smelt a burning smell, I said to my partner can you smell burning he said no, a few minutes later I went to put my wash bag in the bathroom as I entered there was water all by the toilet with lumps of rust floating all this had come out of an access panel in the floor and made its way across the bathroom floor. |I went straight down to reception to tell them to be told they will call someone and to go back to the room. I waited 20 minutes with no response from the guy on reception and the smell was intense. I went back down this time with my partner and asked for a room change he said they were fully booked and could not change they said could I put up with it for 1 night... I said are you going to clean it... then he miraculously found us another room he said It would be smaller I said long as the room is functional it will be OK, so he took us to see the room before we packed up this was now on the 2nd floor.|This room was smaller had a dirty shower cubicle/curtain, hairs in the room, floor could do with a good mop apart from that it was just ok. |Upon check out I asked for some compensation for the downgrade of room for the inconvenience- we got nothing they claim not to understand you at this point. Paid the city tax let's get out then I see they have a chain wrapped around the main door with a padlock on ( well let's hope there never is a fire) ||Avoid this hotel unless you are...
