Amazing location!!
Just outside of the property is Cavour metro station which made getting around super easy & cheap! 5-minute walk to the Colosseum, 10 minutes to the main train station & 20ish minutes from the Trevi. The property is on a very happening street, amazing cafe right across, restaurants & little shops all very easily accessible. There is a local supermarket 2 minutes away.
The room itself is small, but considering we spent most of our time exploring the city it wasn’t an issue.
My only complaint was the shower is fairly small & does not have a shower door so the washroom gets very wet. The toilet, at least in our room was in a weird spot too close to the sink. They have a common room with an espresso machine, a small fridge, and small pastries for breakfast. The staff are always available, bringing fresh towels and cleaning the room daily. Felt very safe in the property & surrounding area!
We stayed pretty close by every night because we were able to find great spots to eat! There is a local Irish pub that is very lively on the weekends! There is also a crepe...
Read moreWe had a very poor experience with this hotel. There were major issues with all aspects of the hotel, including the rooms, service, and location. The hotel was very difficult to locate. The re is nothing on the building to identify it as the hotel, and we spent close to half an hour finding the place. We had to use Google maps photos to locate the place. The service was also abysmal. Wifi service did not cover our rooms (#9 and #5) and we needed to go into the common areas to use wifi. For most of the day, there was no person at reception and even simple requests as extra blankets required us to call them and have someone come over.
The rooms looked nothing like the photos we saw on the booking website. The windows were not soundproof, and the bathrooms were all very small. Everything just had a very haphazard and disjointed quality to it. There are pipes along the walls and ceiling beams were easily observable.
We would never go back to this hotel again and would urge anyone to avoid this establishment in the strongest...
Read moreLet me start with the positives: the location was great, the hair dryer was great, the air conditioner unit was great. The service was below par. For example there was no hand soap in my room and it took them all day to get one for me. Also, when checking out, the attendant didn't even bother offer to help take my suitcase down the stairs. The facilities were old, odd, and under construction. There was no elevator and no one to help carry my luggage up the stairs when I checked in. I had injured my knee earlier and that made it worse. There was no one to check in and I had to call the number at the entrance to get help to get inside. There were some packaged baked goods, juices, and yogurts in the common area, but no water (other than tap). The place was too noisy. I could hear all the street noise and the next door guest's snoring all night. The shower was tiny and seemed to leak a little into the room from the back wall. I will...
