I reserved a table for me and my family on Christmas day. They were ready for us at 6:30PM and sat us promptly. We were able to take in the resturants atmosphere, which was an old school vibe and very calm. We started with some cocktails, i had the lychee cocktail, not the best choice by me because I didn't enjoy the taste. I then proceeded to order the meatball appetizer and the spaghetti cacio e pepe. The food came out quickly which was a plus. The meatballs were tiny for the price and the taste was too much olive for me. I wouldn't recommend them. The spaghetti was very light and okay. There was nothing special to write about the food, it was just okay. We ended up staying for dessert and I got the homemade chocolate cake. This was where the restaurant shined as thier desserts are home made. They weren't too sweet and had a good flavor to them. The staff was really funny and attentive and made the atmosphere even better. I will say if you have time and are in the area of the Colosseum, give...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible dining experience at Suburra 1930 Cucina e Liquori! After spending 10 days in Rome and sampling countless restaurants, this place stood out as the best by far. The food was simply divine—every dish was a perfect balance of flavors, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. The attention to detail was second to none, and it was clear that the chef pours passion and creativity into every plate.

The servers were incredibly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations that elevated the entire meal. The chef even came out to greet us, which made the experience feel so personal and special.

Read moreThey offer cocktails, signature ones, and it's written on their window that this is a liquor place as well. However, if you go only for drinks, you will be treated very badly. We went there and from the beginning stated clearly that we're here only for drinks. After making us waiting for some ten minutes, they offered us a table. They brought the food menu, and we told them again that we're here only for drinks. It took them ages to prepare our cocktails, and the funny part was that they brought our drinks separately with 15 minutes gap between them. Worst part, the moment they brought us all our drinks and made sure that each of us had a couple of sips, they came and forced us to sit almost outside the area where other customers were sitting. They told us that our table is only for those who order food, but the other tables were empty. Disappointing experience, we just choked our drinks...
