Ripetta Central Suites — Hotel in Rome

I would like to start off by saying that this is not a hotel as advertised, it is an apartment converted into five separate very small “hotel” rooms. They stated that there was a fridge/mini bar in the room, it was really a wine fridge which only went down to 67° therefore all the drinks and food inside were very lukewarm. As we were checking in and there were other guests checking out asking for a discount and complaining for the same reason about the mini fridge not working. They stated that there is Wi-Fi but it never worked in the five days we were there. They do not supply any sort of iron or steamer, which might be a thing in Europe but even when we asked they did not want to accommodate. We tried some local restaurants and had very bad luck with the quality of food and the service, you expect being in Italy you will have great Italian food. So we decided to ask the gentleman at the reception and he just looked at us and shrugged his shoulders and said I don’t know. As for the bed, absolutely the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in my life. Every time we left for the day we asked them not to enter the room to clean it and every day we came back they entered it. They also stated that they could easily call a taxi for us and it would arrive within three minutes. Every time we asked them they were never able to get a hold of anyone. So I just walked around the corner to a nicer hotel and every time I asked them at the front desk to call a Taxi and it was there in under a minute 🤔. This accommodation is situated in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the metro station, which makes it very handy for getting around. A lot of the key tourist sites are also within a reasonable walking distance too. The accommodation is more like an upmarket B&B rather than a hotel, however the accommodation was great, clean and a decent size room. Lili who looked after us, was lovely, very helpful and always offered us a cup of tea if we wanted it. She couldn’t do enough for us. If you care anything about Customer Service or having a business respect your patronage this might not be the place for you. We had an cancelled flight and after paying in full we requested an adjustment. No one ever answers the phone, or responds to emails. They have limited front desk staff so if u need something there’s no guarantee you’ll get assistance. I can’t see how they can operate that way.... what is the guests have an emergency. They were very rude. There are better options.... with full time staff that will...
