My family ordered some food, like pasta and lasagna, from the server, but after a long time, only lasagna did not come out. I told the server that “We didn't get lasagna yet” since it didn't come out, then she insisted that we didn't order it. At the same time, she frowned and acted like she couldn't hear my English pronunciation. My family knew we ordered lasagna and heard and confirmed with each other, so I thought the employee missed the order, or the employee's claim was false. However, my family said okay because we didn't want to cause trouble. The employee asked if we wished to have lasagna even now, but we said we wouldn't have it. In this process, the employee's attitude toward our family was curt and unpleasant. First, if a customer was waiting after finishing his previous meal, she should have asked if there was any problem. Also, if it is judged that something is wrong, it is necessary to identify the problem objectively, but it was concluded that there is a problem with the customer. Lastly, English pronunciation can vary from country to country. Since we traveled from the United States, we may have had better American pronunciations, and the employee might have had a different pronunciation. But I think this is something to understand, not to frown like this employee. The employee's attitude in this process was very uncomfortable. I will never go to this restaurant again, and I would never recommend...

Let’s start with the food, which is superb. The pizza is truly outstanding…thin and absolutely delicious. The Cacio e Pepe was the best some of us have ever tasted. The meatballs were so so good. The grilled vegetables…I can just go on and on raving about the food.
As for the service: every time we went it was perfect. How many restaurants can one say that about?? Angelica went above & beyond in so many different ways: not only working with the chef to give us just what we wanted, but anticipating our needs repeatedly. And both Franca & Marco are an absolute delight: helping accommodate our wide array of requests with a smile, and making helpful suggestions along the way.
Given such outstanding food and service, we were all surprised at how reasonable the prices are.
If you’re passing through Lazio and find yourself anywhere near the Piazza di Poppolo, I highly recommend Negresco. My family, friends and I have now gone back several times. Simply put: the combination of food, service, and price is...
Read moreWe turned up at about 1.20pm for lunch. The restaurant interior was largely empty with at least 10 empty seats. Despite this, the waitress ignored us the first time while we were standing outside the restaurant, and the second time round when we asked to be seated she told us we had to wait for an hour. Even if the restaurant were full (which it was not), clearly a table would be available way sooner than 1 hour. We got the impression that she lied to us just to get us away. We felt that there was some racism involved (we’re Asians) because the waitress was unnecessarily curt and extremely rude. She had an unpleasant expression on her face as she interacted with us and it made us feel very uncomfortable. I’d suggest that the restaurant and its workers to stop thinking of themselves so highly—there’s no need to pretend to be exclusive when you’re only serving food between 10-20 euros. Needless to say there are far better places in Rome...
