White Rooms Colosseo — Hotel in Rome

The worst experience ever ! I booked with my partner 17-20 july to this apartment in Rome and they just fraud guests .||||White Rooms Colosseo is a complete scam. The photos on Booking are clearly taken from the internet or heavily photoshopped – they look nothing like reality. I posted the real photos, and they have absolutely no connection to what is advertised.||||The “kitchen” is shared, dirty, and has no proper equipment at all. The bed was in horrible condition, so uncomfortable and filthy that it makes you feel disgusted to even lie down. The walls are dark and depressing, and to make things worse, when we arrived for check-in at 14:00, the worker was still painting the walls at 15:00 and the smell of painting walls was all over .||The bathroom was in scandalous condition – half destroyed, dirty, and under unfinished construction. On top of that, the host Federico was extremely rude and unprofessional. He shouted at us, told us to leave the apartment, and refused to refund the payment. We were forced to call the police for fraud. Only after the intervention of two officers did he return the money we had paid through Booking.||||This place is unsafe, dirty, and run by a dishonest host. Avoid it...

CONS: Toilet seat and faucet were all broken in one way or another. Night stand seemed very unstable and likely to break off the wall. Floor was dirty; bathroom looked like the grout was kind of dirty. Thin walls. ||Scheduled a time to meet for check-in but when we arrived the guy wasn't there. After 10 mins of ringing the doorbell and no answer, we ended up having to call and wait another 10-15 mins for the guy to show up. Waiting in a dark street in Rome at 10pm was not okay. There's a weird common eating/kitchen space that made it feel more like a hostel. Room pictures were a bit misleading.||Finally, there is no real place to store your luggage after you have checked out. The guy in charge said you simply leave your luggage in the common/kitchen area. That didn't seem like a great idea since any one of the other guests could simply take our luggage since there was no one to watch the luggage. He said there would be cleaning staff around but most of the afternoon I didn't see any. That was the last straw - so though we booked multiple nights, we left for another hotel after just 1 night. ||PROS: Very good location close to colosseum - about 8 mins. Guy was at least very friendly....
