For the price, it is an okey hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is really friendly. BUT it has no sunbeds like it shows on the pictures. If you want to go swimming, then you will have to walk 20 min down to one of the beaches in Taormina. The breakfast is typical italian. A lot of sweet bread and cookies, yoghurt and some home made pasteries. There is also cheese and deli meats. Nothing fancy, but if you want you can get a delicious buffé at Hotel Villa Carlotta for 35 euros. It is well worth it. If you want something cheaper, you can walk 10 min to the city center and find something there. The shower water stinks, so let it run for a while before you use it. The beds are a bit hard, but the pillows are nice. The hotel is perfectly situated between the city center and the beach. Nice and quiet during the night. In short, if you want a hotel were you can spend most of the trip in, then this is not the place. Few amenities and no restaurant or bar at the hotel. But if you want a cheap place where you can sleep during the night and have a quick breakfast, then this might be the one.

We visited the place in August and paid the price accordingly but honestly the hotel was much better than what I expected from the reviews. We got a room with a sea view and it was really worth it. A small balcony came with it as well. The hotel is ideally located - 10 min walk to the cable car that gets you to the beach and 10 min walk to the city centre. The room is simple but had everything we needed. We didn’t have any issue with noises. The terrace upstairs was great for an aperitif. The receptionist lady was particularly friendly and helpful during our short stay. The only downside of the place is the parking (6 min walk and €25 per day) but I expect this would be the case with most budget accomodation in Taormina.

The room with a full sea view is really worth it! Million dollar view. If you traveling couples you might not enjoy the bad as “king size” means two single beds split together that you can really feel a whole in between, the mattress is not comfortable at all. Staff - is not welcoming and has attitude - you feel uncomfortable asking them anything… No water in the room so better to buy it before to avoid disappointment. Breakfast is very poor, no service. Overall the good impression is left just because of this breathtaking views… and location is convenient - just 7 min away from the center. It could be a very good hotel if someone could take care of it and made a little renovation and changed staff.

The one star is for the view. That can't be taken away and is phenomenal. It is also next to the Communal gardens which are beautiful.

The room stunk, to the point of the only way not to gag/be sick was to put my clothing over my face to use the bathroom, I have never smelt anything quite like it. It was revolting and because of that I would never recommend this place.

The cleanliness is lacking, there was broken glass all over the terrace. The room was ok, but not as clean as I would expect, the towels had questionable stains on them and were rough to touch.

The breakfast was the worst buffet I had in Sicily (4 hotels all given 5 star reviews in case you think all I do is give bad reviews...not true, credit is always given where credit is due), also the juice is so watered down and takes sooo long to come out of the machine!!

The manager and staff will give you lip service but not deliver on their promises and they will ignore ALL communication and run away from you whilst on site if you try to complain as has been my...

As we arrived, the host upgraded us to a sea view room, in exchange of a couple more euros. We arrived in a dusty room, with blond hair that happen to belong to the cleaning lady on the bed, and on the floor. The toilet seat wasn’t clean and the windows neither. The toilet paper put a disposal was not new and already used. The room doesn’t even look like what you uploaded on your booking.com page. A beach towel was found under the mattress, it didn’t belong to us, which meant, the cleaning was not well done. We asked for a double room with double bed, and ended up with twin beds...

The cleaning lady didn’t wear a mask while cleaning the rooms while working, we never saw her wearing one. in time of a pandemic please understand that it means that the measures taken for security basis are not even respected.

They tried to charge my credit card twice even though we've already paid when we...
