This place should and could be doing a lot more business given that 1) it's location right opposite Porta Nuova Station 2) someone in the kitchen clearly knows how to cook Chinese food well. Quick fix; Fix the signage /lighting outside! Take that old faded menu off the window and that curtain, clean the windows so people can see inside. That A-frame sign board needs to go. Reduce the size of that menu to half - leaving the popular sellers. It's just too hard to wade through 100+ items. Maybe list the regional dishes; frogs legs, tripe, duck tongues, pigs ears, pigs trotters etc..separately? We ordered/ ate there 3 times and was too reluctant to stray from standard Western dishes given the choppy nature of the menu, faded photos, lack of good descriptions. The dishes hit all the right notes; moist, crispy, tangy, umami. Having said that; it seems some locals have discovered this restaurant and the last visit, there appeared a steady trade. Many potential customers peer in, study the faded menu in the window and walk...
Read moreLocated conveniently within the heart of the city along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, they do not speak English but you can point out on the menu what you wish to order. I tried out the Cantonese fries rice and I was not disappointed. It was great! The flavors were great! Creating a good balance and not too spicy. It was also very affordable costing roughly around 4 euros. The service was a bit slow. We waited for about 25 minutes before our food came. It would also be wise to note that for orders less than 5 euros you cannot pay using your credit or debit card, only cash is accepted for such. Otherwise it is a nice place and I look forward to exploring more...
