This might have been our best ever Airbnb. I think we got lucky in finding it. The place was very comfortable, with AC in the rooms and lots of space. Super well appointed including some basic foods which was a nice touch. Excellent for families or a group of friends. The location is amazing. It’s a 5 min walk between the train station and the ferry stop. A couple beach options right in Varenna. A small grocery store across the way, well stocked for delicious at-home meals in the lovely kitchen in the flat. Tons of restaurants of course. Of the three well know towns (Menaggio / Bellagio / Varenna) we liked Varenna the most. Tons of great communication with the host and he was flexible with things like leaving luggage early. Also the parking spot was perfect and really helpful. Can’t recommend it enough. This was a gem! Sergio was a superb host, very communicative and responsive, we felt taken care of. Complimentary snacks and coffee pods were a pleasant touch. Spacious rooms with comfy pillows and a well-equipped kitchen enhanced our stay. Note, the attic's third double bed requires navigating a narrow staircase. While the property lacks an elevator and features numerous steps, exercise caution with luggage. Do not hesitate to book this listing!! Sergio is the best air bnb host I've ever had and it was the main reason why we enjoyed our stay so much. The second we checked in to when we left it was an amazing experience overall. The clearest check in instructions I've ever received. The apartment is the most perfect location in Varenna. Sergio was so responsive and helpful, he booked us restaurants every night and I asked him for the local recommendations to which they were all a 10/10. He went above and beyond and really helped me with anything I needed. He is the definition of a dedicated host and truly cares about his guests and takes great pride in his hosting skills.
