Olivedo Lido - Lido di Varenna — Restaurant in Perledo

We have Looking at the web service prices on the web, they do not correspond to the exposed prices that are unclear and contradictory. The lifeguard, kind of apologized for the inconvenience and the prices, giving us reason and, a present lady told us that the prices are unworthy, the same thing we thought. We turned to the staff of the beach, the kind boys, but the rude, arrogant and presumptuous owner, not suited to catering service. It doesn't even deserve a star. I am very sorry because for over 20 years I have been attending the Varenna beach and from today no more. The owners know, there were at least 100 Cot and sometimes you couldn't get there in time! Today only 4 sunbeds and two umbrellas ... it will be a case, but there is the sun and they have lost all the customers for whom it was a reference point for many. Well, 4 minutes by train we found the Lido de Bellano, swimming pool, umbrella, deck chairs at a reasonable price with bar available with regular prices and like a bar in a beach. Recommended Bellano, not recommended Varenna. At the sea in Liguria, the sunbed and deckchair costs less than in Varenna ... think and evaluate ... you look for ease, welcome and a smile ... missing qualities! Message for restaurateurs, criticisms serve to improve your work, you are at the service of people who pay, not in your villa. P.S. I'm from the industry and I work for a company that does consultancy! 23 euro 1 cot and umbrella + 8 cabin ...

abbiamo Guardando i prezzi dei servizi web sul web, non corrispondono ai prezzi esposti che sono poco chiari e contraddittori. Il bagnino, in qualche modo si è scusato per l'inconveniente e i prezzi, dandoci ragione e, una signora presente ci ha detto che i prezzi sono indegni, la stessa cosa che abbiamo pensato. Ci siamo rivolti al personale della spiaggia, i ragazzi gentili, ma il proprietario scortese, arrogante e presuntuoso, non adatto al servizio di catering. Non merita nemmeno una stella. Mi dispiace molto perché da oltre 20 anni frequento la spiaggia di Varenna e da oggi non più. I proprietari sanno che ce n'erano almeno 100 Culla e talvolta non ci si arriva in tempo! Oggi solo 4 lettini e due ombrelloni ... sarà un caso, ma c'è il sole e hanno perso tutti i clienti per i quali è stato un punto di riferimento per molti. Bene, a 4 minuti di treno abbiamo trovato il Lido de Bellano, la piscina, l'ombrellone, le sedie a sdraio a un prezzo ragionevole con un bar disponibile a prezzi regolari e come un bar in una spiaggia. Bellano consigliato, non raccomandato Varenna. Al mare in Liguria, il lettino e la sdraio costano meno che a Varenna ... pensa e valuta ... cerchi facilità, accoglienza e un sorriso ... qualità mancanti! Messaggio per i ristoratori, le critiche servono a migliorare il tuo lavoro, sei al servizio delle persone che pagano, non nella tua villa. I usually refrain from giving negative reviews and I'm not usually picky over food, but my experiences today have really encouraged me to share so you can make an informed decision while in Varenna 🙏🏼

First of all, the staff that took our order was very rude: we ordered enough food and drink for 5 people, including 5 main dishes, and the staff kept judging our orders and pushed us to order more again and again. When we said no, he was giving us an attitude.

Upon completing our order, we paid immediately.

Drinks and appetizer came rather quick. And then they had us waiting for the main dishes. After 1 hour of wait and the food didn't come, one of my friends went to the order station (which is next to the kitchen). The kitchen staff was just chilling and they weren't cooking any food. My friend got really angry and only then, they started cooking our food. They said it'd be ready in 10 mins.

After such a long wait (and spending a huge amount of money, i.e. €20 per main dish), the food that were served were really really disappointing. I've had great food in Italy, but the food served here are even worse than those that you can buy from supermarket and microwave yourself.

At the end, when we were leaving, multiple staffs kept asking us whether we have paid. Under normal circumstances, this might be okay, but given our back-to-back negative experiences, this was like adding more fuel to the fire.

Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've ever had and it was really sad because I loved Varenna the moment we reached. Such a lovely city, but our memories are tainted due to this experience.

Please please please avoid this place as much as...

There are a few things that went wrong during my visit.

1. When I ordered at the bar, the receptionist kept asking us to order more food, appetizers and drinks. Even though we said we didnt want to. It made us really uncomfortable. I get it that youre trying to upsell and get us to buy more food, but please do it nicely and dont smirk at us for not ordering appetizers?!

2. We ordered at 19:45. At 20:45, the food still didnt come. We went to ask at the cashier, and only after reminding them, then did the chef turned on the stove and started cooking and promised to serve the food in 10mins. Fortunately this was the case.

3. Unfortunately the food was a huge disappointment. They costed 20 euro a plate, but the taste was mediocre, like microwavable food.

4. We paid right after ordering, before we ate the food. After we finished the meal and wanted to leave, the staff asked us “have you paid yet?” Normally this is a normal question but since we have had 3 disappointing instances, it was really upsetting for them to do this.
