Thank God, I didn't take their pizza. I'm a pizza amateur and I can tell from the look that their dough is frozen. This is usually served in very low standard restaurants and selling pizza at this price is a pure scam.
However, let me review what we have ordered. The panino is "OKish", hence 3 stars. We also ordered a carbonara pasta. Might be wrong but to me it was cooked with cream and not with cheese and egg yolk as it is supposed to be). In any case it didn't taste like a traditional carbonara (I'm half Italian, so I know what it should taste like)... Meh ! We also shared a "Caprese" salad. Tomato datterini were not so bad, but the Mozzarella was super sour (probably that kind of low cost Mozzarella). I'm even wondering if it really is made from buffala milk...
Unless you have running out of other options or unless you just need something edible (probably like the majority of people who reviewed this restaurant with 4.6 - ??? - ) please avoid it at all costs.
Something positive, is that the service is fast enough and open all day so that is still a convenient way to eat something before or after taking the ferry from/to Varenna. Also the price Is very cheap (that could explain why the quality is SO bad).
Please only take the panino if you ever have to eat...
Read moreWe’ve tried many restaurants around Lake Como, and I have to say—this one is among the best, if not the best. The atmosphere was incredible, with the restaurant located right in front of Lago di Como and nothing obstructing the view of the lake.
The service was excellent; we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for our food and drinks. We ordered four different Aperol Spritz to really experience the variety, and I can confidently say they don’t hold back on flavor—each one was truly great.
We also had the Italian classic, Pizza Margherita with pesto, which came on a thin crust and featured two types of cheese. It was bursting with flavor and the tomatoes tasted incredibly fresh. The pasta was cooked to perfection with an elite level of taste—absolutely delicious. While the pasta portion was a bit small, the reasonable pricing of each dish made it well worth it.
Lastly, the potatoes were perfectly crunchy and full of flavor and the tiramisu was delicious.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Como, and I would definitely go again. The prices aren’t too high, so your expectations might start off modest—but the flavor and service go far...
Read moreI truly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant! The food was exceptionally flavorful, and the prices were very reasonable. I was especially impressed by their special offer on Aperol Spritz for just 5 Euros, which I happily took advantage of—it was one of the best I’ve had, ranking high among the many I’ve tried.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding customer service. Lorena, who took care of me, exemplified what great service should be. Despite the restaurant being busy, she ensured I was well taken care of, promptly bringing everything I needed with a friendly and professional demeanor.
The restaurant also offers a comfortable and inviting environment, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the proximity to the lake. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and savor good food and drinks.
I strongly recommend visiting this place. The staff speak multiple languages, including Spanish and English, so communication is seamless. They also accept both cash and card for added convenience. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll...
