B&B Casa Esvael — Hotel in Verona

We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Our room was large, bright and very comfortable. Furnishings are traditional but in very good taste. High ceilings, beautiful art work. A real Italian experience. And everything was spotlessly clean. We had the one room without an ensuite bathroom and weren't sure if that would work. But the other two rooms are slightly smaller and our bathroom was large with a wonderful tub, and clean! Even when we had the chance to move to an ensuite room we stayed in our room. Rudy was very helpful, with map and suggestions. The location is outstanding with the old city very close, easily walked to everything. Not noisy, some traffic during the day but no music or??? Breakfast is now in the common area which is more convenient than leaving the building. Yogurt, fruit, nice jams, coffee, tea and some crackers. The breads and pastries weren't much so we bought our own from the supermarket. Hardly saw or heard our fellow guests. Oh, and did I mention how beautiful and clean everything was! I would come back here and would recommend it...

Mi vedo quasi costretto a scrivere una recensione anche qui perché quanto ho scritto in una precedente recensione non rende giustizia alla struttura, al soggiorno, ma soprattutto all'host che descrivere straordinaria è anche riduttivo... Non voglio spendere inutili parole sull'invidiabile posizione (basta aprire maps), sulla struttura (il web è pieno di foto che mostrano il bel palazzo storico e le ampie camere dove poter alloggiare), quello che voglio far sapere a chi volesse saper qualcosa in più sull'esperienza che Casa Esvael può offrire si lega unicamente alla disponibilità, la passione e l'accoglienza che l'host sa offrire. La pulizia è al top, la proprietaria mette a disposizione gratuitamente mascherine, ombrelli, prodotti da bagno (ciabattine e spazzolino non le trovi quasi mai neanche in un 4 stelle...) e c'era anche un frigo bar allestito in camera (anche questo gratis!) e ogni volta che rientravi in camera dopo la sistemazione delle stanze non mancava mai una una caramella sul cuscino (piccolissimo gesto che denota grandissima attenzione). Ogni richiesta è stata prontamente soddisfatta, come quando abbiamo chiesto delle tovagliette all'americana per poter consumare la prima colazione nel salone comune dove c'è un microonde e un frigo più grande a disposizione degli ospiti. Sempre nel salone c'è una macchinetta per il caffè espresso sempre fornito di cialde e l'occorrente per farsi un tè o una tisana. L'unica differenza con un'hotel è l'assenza di reception, ma anche qui, concordando orari di arrivo e partenza non mancherà la piena soddisfazione dell'ospite (alle 12 del giorno di arrivo la camera era già pronta e ci è stata data la possibilità di trattenerci oltre l'orario di check-out, ovviamente questa non è la regola, ma dipende dalla disponibilità della camera nel giorno prima e dopo). Spero di essere riuscito a dare un'idea della disponibilità, della proprietaria. In ultimo, ma non ultima per importanza, nota di merito alla serietà della proprietaria. Ho soggiornato a Verona nei giorni del Vinitaly e prenotando con grandissimo anticipo ho bloccato un prezzo da "bassa stagione". Potete essere certi che altre strutture potrebbero indurvi a cancellare la prenotazione per rivendere le camere a prezzi allineati al mercato. Ovviamente la cosa non è avvenuta e mi sento di poter garantire che finché ci sarà Antonella a gestire la struttura, mai avverrà un inconveniente del genere. Mi dispiace davvero non poter dare più di cinque stelle, ho scritto questa recensione con passione, la stessa che ci mette Antonella nel suo...

We arrived back at Casa Esvael following a visit to the Arena Di Verona for the opera.|The electronic door opening system had failed, and despite many calls to the hotel and Booking.com, we could not gain access to the property.|We spent two hours walking the streets of Verona trying to get a hotel that had a room we could stay in. Fortunately, the Hotel Europa had one available, by now it was 02.35.|The after service from Booking.com has been disgraceful, and has reached the point that after messages from ten different members of their staff, no compensation has been offered for the additional money we had to spend at the Hotel Europa.|We were finally told by Booking.com, that we should contact the hotel ourselves for compensation, they have washed their hands with the complaint.|I give up with Booking.com, they cannot...
