ひどいもてなし。食事はコンビニの食べ物があります。温泉汚い。この旅館のルールは本当に理不尽。
While Japan is a country that prides itself in omotenashi aka hospitality, the behaviour of the staff at this ryokan examplified absolutely none of this.
After hunting for the ryokan, we were greeted by the very rude owner who ran out of the ryokan to chase us away while we were trying to unload our luggages from the car, asking us to return only at 5pm. Take note, this place DOES NOT allow you to leave your luggages if you arrive before check-in. Later when we returned, he glared at us and refused to serve us, calling upon his Nepalese staff to attend to us (who was perhaps the only glimmer of kindness and decency in this place).
Not only were the house rules inane (i.e barred from opening the curtains before 8am), the housekeeping service was appalling as well. We were required to set up the futons ourselves and our room remained uncleaned (including the rubbish bins not being cleared) for the entire duration of our stay.
Food was also another problem. For the price paid, we definitely weren't expecting 5-star hotel standard food. But what we definitely weren't expecting was food from the nearby Lawson convenience store repackaged as dishes for our meals.
We had paid for 2 days of breakfast but could not take it on our 2nd day because of our travel plans and requested that we have it the next day instead. Our request was flat-out refused. However, I guess based on the quality and standard of the food, we didn't miss much.
We also stayed when the weather was cold. Despite this, there was absolutely no running hot water at this ryokan. Further, the water pressure was extremely low as well. Also, the communal bath area does require some maintenance done i.e broken tiles and rusty taps.
Mind you, during our stay, we were more or less the only guests there. Had it been busier, perhaps the curt attitude from the owner might've been understood.
Everybody has their calling in life and perhaps the owner might not be suited for the hospitality sector after all.
But that doesn't mean one cannot improve and if doing so is possible, I wish him all the best.

The scenery, the natural hot springs, the beauty, nature, food, amazing... ||||My wife and I stayed 1 night at Kiyoshigekan. We would have stayed longer if we were in Japan longer. The staff at Kiyoshigekan are very wonderful. They speak just enough English to tell you what you need to know. We did not have dinner there but we did have breakfast and it was delicious. Highly recommend the breakfast option. ||||My wife's and my favorite part about this Ryokan is that they allow PRIVATE USE of the onsen. That is fantastic! How more romantic can you get than spending an evening outside in an onsen with you significant other? The baths themselves are a bit small which is also nice that they allow private use, in case you are not too comfortable sharing with strangers, but then again, who cares. If you're in Japan, do the Japanese experience! Private use or not, these natural onsen get you so relaxed and feeling great that you feel like you're just floating through clouds. ||||Regarding the location, it's about a 10 minute walk from the bus station. Very easy to get to, just follow the main road east from the station and you will see a huge billboard on a building telling you were to turn right and just follow the signs from there. The walk to the main part of town is also very easy and super quick. ||||If you arrive before the 3PM check-in, just drop off your bags at the place and walk to town...
