5-Star Review: Outstanding Stay at Dormy Inn Osaka!
I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Dormy Inn Osaka!
Standout Features
Great Location: Dormy Inn Osaka's prime location made it easy to explore Osaka's iconic landmarks, shops, and restaurants. We were just a short walk away from the action!
Clean and Wonderful Hot Spring: The hotel's hot spring was a highlight of our stay! The facilities were immaculately clean, and the warm waters were the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.
Great Service: The staff at Dormy Inn Osaka were friendly, attentive, and provided exceptional service throughout our stay.
Nice Conveniences: We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as free fermented milk drinks and popsicles to enjoy after our hot spring soak.
Room for Improvement:
One area for improvement is the foreign exchange rate offered through the vending machine. The rates were significantly lower than those found outside the hotel, with a staggering difference of up to 14 yen per dollar. We recommend using this service only in case of an emergency and exploring other exchange options instead.
Verdict:
Despite this one drawback, Dormy Inn Osaka is a 5-star gem that shines brightly in Osaka! With its great location, clean hot spring, excellent service, and thoughtful conveniences, it's an outstanding choice for any traveler.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Will we return? Absolutely!
Highly recommended for:
Travelers seeking a convenient and central location Those looking for a clean and relaxing hot spring experience Families and solo travelers wanting a comfortable and rejuvenating stay Anyone seeking a top-notch hotel...

It was in the middle between 2 stations, so this was not convenient for train travelers with luggage. However, the perks of staying here were quite extraordinary.||Onsen was there for relaxing a long tiring day. Free ice cream, yogurt drinks and ramen were available. My family and I enjoyed these every day for the entire trip. Amenities in rooms were great and adequate. Family Mart was right there on the first floor with special entrance inside the building for hotel guests.||Only 2 things I would recommend that they should improve. First, check-in process was being pushed to machine, which was understandable. But with a family of 8 people trying to check in 3 rooms altogether, this caused a bit of problems as all passports needed to be scanned, and we did not understand the purpose of some questions/processes, thus slowing us down and making a queue longer. They should have staff ready to accommodate a group check-in, especially for foreigners, and let single/local traveler use machine.||Second, the lady staff who managed breakfast in front of the breakfast room was unnecessarily impolite. I was not sure if it was about language barrier, but I felt her gesture was not that friendly. When I tried to explain something, she waved her hands and asked us to wait. It was not that bad, and I knew she was doing her job, but I really thought she could do better for the sake of hotel name.||Other than that, I felt wonderful at Dormy and would really consider staying at this hotel chain again in...
Read moreWe stayed for 3 days from May 5th. Our reservation had problems as our friend couldn't come due to the cancellation. Mr. Tai, the receptionist here, responded very kindly and actively. Among the hotel staff I met while traveling in Japan for more than 10 years, he was by far the most proactive in treating guests and explained slowly without rushing even though I was a foreigner. If there is a reason to come back to Namba Dormy Inn, it must be the great service he showed. However, the reason for the 4 stars is that when I went down to the reception desk on the 1st floor in the afternoon , and i asked "i want to give thank again the friendly staff" but a female employee showed a very rude attitude saying that the employee was already finished and could not be found. People from all countries can't speak Japanese well. I speak a little English but she didn't seem to understand English very well. And then her attitude was that she lacked the qualities of a hotelier. she just said."exactly what do you want?" why she talk to customer like that... hum..........but it ok because 2hours after,i met him in reception. i want ask to her "exactly what it you were trying to tell me? " Not all employees can be like Mr. Tai, but this experience gave me a good feeling about Dormy Inn Hotel. It is a powerful experience that's changed my memory about Japan hoteliers and it will be make it me chage perception of Japanese people. Thank you again Mr. Tai and look forward to seeing your smile...
