My partner and I were exhausted after a few days walking all around and researched nearby places for massage. We’re so glad we came across Chiang Mai because this was the best thai massage either of us have ever received! It’s very walkable distance from Dotonburi and easy to find because there are signs on the street outside the building, just walk up one floor or take the elevator. Inside it’s very peaceful and quiet. Sen helped us over the phone when we called to set up an appointment and her English is great when asking us where we need focus on our bodies and what was hurting. Lan was our other masseuse and both of them were so wonderful. Firm hands and great at getting all the needed pressure points. At one point I wanted to cry because it was such a cathartic release! I chose the 40min foot massage, while my buddy opted for the 40min back massage with 20mins focused on the feet. The foot massage focuses on the hamstrings, quads, hips, right down to the calves and soles of feet. It was indeed one of the most relaxing experiences I've had in Osaka. The massage was so good when the masseuse got to the soles of my feet, that I fell asleep. The staff was nice enough to let me sleep 20mins until my buddy's massage was over then they woke me up with a light but firm slap on the leg. Prices are fair with overly welcoming staff. Was planning on going back but unfortunately they are closed on Sundays. Maybe...

The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a calm atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff were polite and professional, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I walked out feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready for another day of sightseeing.
If you’re planning to go, I’d suggest calling or booking ahead as it can get busy in the evenings. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you need to unwind in Kyoto.
