I mostly book boutique hotels so I set my expectations low - but YUKI really surprised me. If you compare it with most business / boutique hotels - they tend to be very tiny and there is almost always no room to move around or store your luggage - Yuki is kind of different. Surprisingly YUKI is also a lot cheaper than most hotels in the area, more like a serviced apartment than a hotel. The room is quite big and has enough space for two extra single beds, a wardrobe and a working desk. In the hall there is a fridge, microwave, sink and cooker with extractor hood. The toilet is a separate room from the toilet sink and the shower and bath are very spacious. I would say this is an advantage for groups, as the bath and toilet are not occupied at the same time , when one person is using it. A huge plus is that the room has its own washing machine, perfect fit for backpackers. Overall I must say that Yuki's room size and extras make it a good option for solo or group travel. Minus one star cause the room looked dusty and I found some hair from the previous guests. Nevertheless I would suggest everyone who loves budget travel to check in with YUKI. Last but not least: Comic lovers you‘re in heaven here - you‘re exactly in the right area to explore all your manga and...
Read moreWe came with low expectations having spent most of our hotel time in business hotels but boy did this hotel surprise us. You see with most business hotels, the floor space is so small that when you lay put your luggage you will almost always have no space to walk on but Yuki was different. Priced cheaper than the most of the hotels in the area, Yuki was more of a service apartment than a hotel. The room has enough space for 2 extra twin beds, a closet and a table. The hallway has space for a fridge, microwave, sink and stovetop with rangehood. The toilet is a separate room from the washroom sink and the shower and bathtub is very spacious. This is an advatage for groups because now both shower and toilet wont be occupied at the same time when only 1 is being used. The entrance hallway has a big shoerack and lastly the room also has its own washing machine which is a plus for light packers and those who want to shop for clothes who packed light. No tv though but with the cheap wifi rental Japan has and streaming services like netflix you'd normally not use tvs on a trip anyways. All in all with the size and extras offered with the room Yuki is a great choice for anyone travelling alone or...
Read moreWe booked this hotel via Airbnb. A theft got into our room, 802, Yuki nippombashi hotel osaka, while we were sleeping and stole our wallet and purses which have all cash, credit card, and passport. There was a small hole on the door that they can use wire to unlock the internal lock. We think that they might have copied the key and prepared the hole on the door in advance since there is no evidence of break through and we did secured the door. when we woke up the door was already open and they used a shoe to block the door from making the closing noise. We cannot leave the country and have to cancel flight ticket and all our next trip in korea which already paid, and pay for additional hotel in osaka until Thai embassy open on Jan 2 to get a temporary passort and buy a new return flight ticket. we lost more than 200,000 Yen from this robbery. The host, Hiro, was not willing to help us anything, we have to ask local japanese to call police and process everything by ourselves. the building cctv in lobby and elevator also not recording anything. we did not feel safe to stay and wanted to warn anyone to stay anyway...
