After a disappointing hotel experience the night before — the kind that almost made me want to get on a plane and fly straight home — arriving at MIMARU Osaka Namba Station felt like a breath of fresh air. The very first thing that stood out to me was the exceptional service standard. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel truly welcome — especially Josh, who assisted with our check-in that day.||We were traveling as a large family of 23 people with 37 suitcases, but Josh handled everything with an effortless smile, flexibility, and a calm, friendly attitude that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He gave us helpful tips on how to get to the airport, how to send our luggage, and patiently answered every question we had. It may sound like something small, but after a long trip, that kind of service makes a world of difference.||I was also pleasantly surprised that the staff delivered all of our luggage directly to the rooms. This is something I’ve never experienced at other hotels in Japan — such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. And it wasn’t just Josh — every staff member we interacted with maintained the same warm and professional service.||The location is also excellent. We arrived from Nagoya via Shinkansen and needed taxis due to the size of our group, but if you’re coming from Kansai International Airport, you can take the Nankai Airport Express directly to Nankai Namba Station, which takes about 30–40 minutes. From the station building, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the hotel. The property is tucked slightly away from the busiest streets of Namba, making it peaceful and quiet while still within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and all the main attractions.||Our family stayed in a two-bedroom apartment-style room, and it was spacious, clean, and well-equipped — with a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and even two separate toilets, which is perfect for families or longer stays. The only small inconvenience is that bottled water isn’t provided in the room, but there’s a water dispenser on the 2nd floor.||Another lovely detail is the board game area, which kept the kids entertained while waiting to check in or out. You can also borrow games to play in the room. Plus, there’s free coffee in the mornings and soft drinks in the afternoon — such a simple but thoughtful touch that really adds to the experience.||Although the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés just a short walk away, so finding food in the morning is never a problem.||In short: everything about our stay at MIMARU Osaka Namba Station was wonderful. The rooms are spacious, the location is perfect, and most importantly, the service is outstanding. My family and I will absolutely choose this hotel again the next time we visit Osaka — and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially families, looking for a warm and comfortable...

Read moreMy family of 4, 2 adults 2 11 yr old twins, stayed here for 6 nights as we explored osaka and made day trips to Kyoto. The hotel is very well appointed and we are very happy with the size of the room whereby the bunks beds and single beds were in a seperate bedroom with a very very decent sized living area and kitchenette, good sized toilet and bathroom.||Staff came in to clear the rubbish and replace towels everyday with a full cleaning every 4th day of your stay. ||Mimaru as I mentioned in my other review of the sibling hotel shinjuku west is a very family orientated hotel as we all need the space! ||||this place is about 5-6 min walk from Exit E9 ( take Exit 3 from Namba which will lead you to the exits around area E). Or you can go via takashimaya if you have luggage to get to the Nankai line for the airport express.. if you have luggage this is quite an easy path to use.||||Service as usual is fantastic at Mimaru. Reception confimed that they got my 2 luggages from tokyo and that check in is at 3pm they will place all our luggage into our room as we went to walk around Osaka ( we arrived around 1230 in the afternoon). the place is about 10 to 15 min walk from Dotonburi and if you wish to go to Kuromon Ichiba market, it's also VERY near ( 10 min walk.. look at google maps). There is a fruit shop there that closes at 7pm everyday so if you are looking for fruits nearby other than buying from lawson/family mart... this is it. LOL ||||another nearby metro stop is nipponbashi which is a tad nearer vs Namba station. ||||Overall, Mimaru has not failed us and it came highly recommended by others. I had also recommended this chain to my friends who were going Japan and they too loved that the apartment sizes were generous and didn't feel squished. Beds were comfortable. this branch of mimaru also has free flow soft drinks and coffee and tea at the lobby area .. and a nice area to sit whilst you drink. ||there is also a games corner or you can rent games to bring to your room.||If you need slippers or any other disposables like razors or toothbrushes etc, you need only request from reception as they do not provide this in the room. not a problem for me. If you need, then ask. :)||||Overall, I will definitely stay at mimaru again if I return to Japan with my family. It's a very well laid out and appointed hotel chain located within a 5 to 10 min walk to a metro station exit/entrance depending on which...
