Since you lack any sense of service, let me teach you. On January 29 at 11:44 AM, I called your hotel to confirm my reservation, but your staff told me that they couldn’t find my information. After that, I contacted the booking platform to verify my details, and at 12:38 PM, I called your hotel again, only to be told once more that my information was not found. However, after my details were finally confirmed, not a single word of apology was given! When I arrived at the hotel that night, the staff requested to verify my identity. I had already submitted my payment details and identification, and I had booked a double room. I also clearly stated that the pronunciation of my name in Chinese characters is the same as in the English name I used for the booking. Yet, your staff either lacked the competence to verify it or simply refused to do so. Instead, they kept contacting their superior, making me wait for nearly an hour. During this time, I repeatedly said, “If you’re going to cancel my reservation, just do it.” But they wouldn’t proceed. When the superior finally arrived, they didn’t even verify my identity and immediately said the reservation could be canceled.
Why is it that you couldn’t verify my identity for check-in, but you could cancel my reservation without any verification? And after making me wait so long, there was no compensation for my parking fee, nor even a single word of apology. Now, you are responding to my Google review as if this issue was entirely my fault?
Are your staff members actually trained before starting work, or do you just hire anyone regardless of their...
Read moreThis hotel is a major disappointment and so freaking annoying.
There are so many rules and restrictions:
You have to check in before 9pm.
If you lose the key to your room they will charge you U$33 for a second one (normal key card which most hotels will replace it for free). Compete rip-off.
You can’t bring someone over even for only couple of hours (even if you paid for a double room and are staying solo). U$33 fee.
There are so many other nonsense rules, restrictions and fines that they will show you a guideline when checking in.
Great way to welcome a guest. No to this. No to that. No, no, no!
Despite all their penalties and rules. On the other hand, the hotel will not be responsible for:
Constantly not having someone at reception even during the day you will have to call someone for help and wait, and wait.
Reception is closed from 9pm to 9am.
For the dog constantly barking all night long.
For the construction noise next door.
For all the hotels downsides they are not responsible, but for every other stupid rule they like imposing you are 100% reliable.
Better off staying at a sister convent as they most likely have less rules and are...
Read moreThe facilities and staff at R Hotel were top notch. We arrived on an early flight and they were happy to store our luggage intil the room was ready (they even put the luggage in our rooms). Alot of the checkin was done online and therr was an additional city tax not included in the Expedia price. For our room it was about 200 yen per person per night, but this is common in many places. Room was small compared to western standards but was cosy. The loft bedding for our room had a steep step access but i thought this was a quaint additional. Room had all the amenities you could think of, had a microwave (for your 7Eleven meals), a kettle and air purifier (2 actually). The bedding was also very comfortable. Advice would be to catch an Uber here if you arrive in Namba by bus or train, as the 18min walk can be rough on your luggage. Denden town and kuromon was about a 10 min walk, 20min to Dontonburi, and 18 to the Namba station. We also left the our luggage for about 4 hours after checkout. Definite would consider staying again if in the area. Thanks again to the staff for...
