The positives: We had lots of fun, and the arcade had all the games we wanted (maimai and SF6). Some machines surprisingly have English options (DDR, Taiko) but don't rely on it.
HOWEVER
The cons: DDR is poorly maintained. I had to stomp so hard on the pad for my inputs to register that I could feel my stomps with my head. The quality of the DDR machine is analogous to the quality of a one day temporary DDR machine at a high school carnival.
Machines also took my money without giving credits. iDOLM@STER took 300 yen, and maimai took 100 yen from me without giving any credits (although maimai worked well other than that one exception, I was unable to play iDOLM@STER at all).
Also, Taiko was more expensive than most other arcades in Japan and abroad (where Taiko is only in specialty rhythm game/imported Japanese arcades!!!) at 200...

I understand it is my bad that I did not notice that they don't allow video taking in the shop(which I am not using that for anything but only recording my trip in Osaka for memory) I just held up my phone and did not even press the start button. The staff was like blocking the whole window of the catching machine. I can't even see if I catch the doll because of the staff hand. I was so shocked and can't say a word. When I decided to try another machine, the staff was looking at me at my back, observing me like I was a criminal. Come on, I am just a foreigner who doesn't understand Japanese rule😭 I feel super bad, and it ruined my mood, so I just...
Read moreThe smaller Taito station of the two located in Namba. It's 2 floors worth of claw games, with a good selection and variety of prizes. Anime figurines, gatcha machines, keychains are here. There's also a variety of types of prizes games (i.e slide prize down, cut rope, progressive movement) so if you're not feeling lucky with UFO catchers. You have other options. Staff are also very active, and seen running around helping players with getting their prize. They're very supportive! Taito station is one of my favourite arcades in Japan, and I've visited multiple of them. This Taito station also did not fail...
