My family and I recently stayed at Mercure Hotel Haneda Airport, and overall, it was a truly pleasant experience. The hotel is well-maintained, welcoming, and conveniently located for easy access to the airport. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the attention to detail, cleanliness, and smooth check-in process.
The highlight of our stay was the outstanding service from several staff members:
Akari was absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. She greeted us daily with a bright smile and a friendly, professional attitude, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Her warmth made us feel genuinely welcome.
Taira was another wonderful front office staff member—kind, polite, and always happy to help. His dedication and caring nature truly stood out.
Hiro from the front office impressed us with his professionalism and attentiveness. Whether over the phone, by email, or in person, he was quick to respond, patient, and solution-oriented, making us feel valued.
Sabina was a delight to interact with. Her warm smile and approachable nature made our mornings brighter, and she always showed genuine interest in our plans and experiences.
Manan from the food and beverage team was equally exceptional. Friendly and genuine, he created a welcoming atmosphere, always taking time to chat and show kindness. Visiting his bar and restaurant was a joy thanks to his hospitality.
While most of the staff were exceptional, I did want to provide constructive feedback. One Western female staff member (possibly French) was difficult to communicate with and seemed reluctant to assist, which left us feeling unwelcome at times. While she may be capable in other areas, her communication and hospitality toward international guests could be improved.
That said, this minor issue did not overshadow the incredible efforts of Akari, Taira, Hiro, Sabina, and Manan, along with the rest of the team, who were all lovely. Their professionalism and kindness were the defining features of our stay.
The hotel itself was excellent. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, perfect for relaxing after long days of travel. Housekeeping staff deserve recognition for their attention to detail and responsiveness. Complimentary airport transportation was punctual and stress-free, and luggage handling made check-in and checkout seamless.
Overall, I would gladly stay at Mercure Hotel Haneda Airport again. The hotel is clean, well-managed, and staffed by exceptional people who go out of their way to make guests feel valued. On our next visit, I’ll know exactly who to look for to ensure another...
Read moreBooked this hotel direct with Accor app as got a better discount than elsewhere. We booked 3 rooms for the 4 of us. |Arrived here on 9th October and we're greeted nicely, booked in quickly by a lovely man on reception who's name I didn't get. |2 of the rooms face the railway line at the back and 1 room faces the front. My room, the front one, is one of the nicest I've stayed in in a long time. |Bed - Looks like it is a king size but to me looks bigger. It really is so comfortable and spacious. Pillows are soft yet supportive still. ||Wardribe - It is not big but I got all my things in alongside utilising the shelving unit in the bathroom||TV is a great size with mostly Japanese channels and the usual BBC News channel. You can use Netflix, Disney+, hulu, U-Next, Abema, Youtube and Prime Video if you have accounts. ||Unit - This housed a fridge, coffee/tea, a free safe and some side shelving. There is a sofa and small table next to this too. ||Bathroom - Shower is enclosed with glass door. Nicely and tastefully decorated and a shower that is quite poweful. There are body wash, shampoo and body cream for your own use. They smell absolutely divine and I wish the hotel sold sachets of them as I would have bought a suitcase full! Sink is fine BUT the toilet is AMAZING! I know these type toilets are common in Japan but my first time here and I wasn't aware of them too much. What an invention! ||Hairdryer - Good power and has a nozzle attachment. ||Staff - Each and every one of them are the most polite yet very approachable people I've met up to now. They have made our stay outstanding in every way. Their attitude seems to rub off on us customers and the hotel is like a friendly club where we all talk to each other even though we are strangers. Well done on above 5 star service. ||Around the hotel - Usual small convenience stores, Lawsons, Family Mart and 7 - 11. ||Train - 4 minute walk tops to Otorii station. 3 stops after the airport. We got the train after landing. We bought a Suica card at the airport and put 1000 yen on. Easy to top up at stations. In 5 days we have put on a total of 3000 yen each and used the trains quite a bit. Most journeys are between 200 to 400 each. ||There is the Anamori Inari Shrine if you turn right out the hotel, walk straight on about 10 mins until you see a Family Mart on the corner. The shrine is directly opposite. ||So much more but I'm typing this on my phone on the app ||I will definitely be staying here again and wouldn't hesitate to...
Read moreI think one of the best questions to ask when looking for a hotel in Japan is how close is it to a train station and how much is it. Then all other questions follow. Is it spacious? What amenities are there? Does the staff speak English? Does it look nice? Closeness to the nearest convenience store?
I can confidently say that I will absolutely be booking my stay here again, but only for the days I arrive and leave. Here's why: This hotel has a shuttle that goes to and from the Haneda airport. It's also very close to the airport which means you can take the train either to or from the airport without needing extra time to find your way through the jungles of tokyo or shinjuku station.
However, this can also be a negative thing. Being this close to the airport means you'll hear planes constantly flying overheard. If you're a light sleeper, bring some ear muffs. That ALSO means the trains are packed at almost all times in BOTH directions because there are people always going to or away from the airport and they also have luggage. This is why I wouldn't really want to stay at this hotel otherwise. The location is a blessing and a curse. It's a bit of a distance away from main areas of japan like tokyo, ginza, etc, the plane noise, and the guaranteed crowded trains.
There are other rooms that are free to use. I personally used the gym or "fitness center". It's very very small, but I found that not a lot of people used it at once, as people are usually out traveling, or just checking in/out. They provided free bottled water and towels in the gym which was also amazing since I didn't even plan on working out until I saw the other free amenities.
It's a 5 minute walk away from the train station, and is also close to a convenience store across the street. It's not a very active town, so there isn't much else in the area (in my short experience).
The hotel offers a breakfast package that is definitely worth opting in for. There's also a bar in the center of the lobby. It's beautiful aesthetically in all aspects. Hotel lobby, decorations, and even the rooms. I'm certain influencers would flood this place if they found out about it.
All in all, it's actually way worth the price. The staff speaks English, and even let me check out late without charging me extra when they found out my flight was much later in the day. The staff was wonderful and that's the...
