At first glance after being dropped off by a taxi from Haneda International Airport, my wife was skeptical. But after entering the hotel and checking in with the very professional staff (it's Japan, so the staff everywhere are top notch), we went to our room to find much more room than expected, although don't think you'll have the same size as a standard US hotel room. And the bathroom, to include the sink and countertop, the toilet, and the shower/tub area, was much bigger than expected. A mini-fridge is in the room. Of course no gym, no closet, no dresser/wardrobe, and the breakfast is very limited: rice, curry, and bread, with water, coffee, tea, or orange juke. I brought in some delicious Japanese milk (from the nearby convenience store) to add to my hot white rice to make a nice porridge. The rice is so good I could have ate it plain. || The location is within a 5 minute walk to a train station, a 10 minute taxi ride to any of the terminals at Haneda, and a 30 second walk to a well stocked convenience store. Being Japan, obviously the area is safe. An unexpected fond memory was at 0430 on our first morning after flying in from the US, wide awake since 0300 of course, walking in the early morning light and cool air on the streets of a quiet Tokyo with our daughter to that convenience store to pick up coffees, juices, and some food to bring back to the room and our waiting wife/mother. It was a very short walk, but with our daughter away in college, not many opportunities anymore for those one on one moments, even if short. ||When the time came 2 days later to fly to Okinawa for a few days, we took the hotel shuttle to the airport, which only runs during certain hours. For a hotel near Haneda that is clean, affordable, safe, and convenient, and for a short stay, I recommend...
Read moreLeaving Tokyo from Haneda early, we decided to spend the last night of our holiday in Japan close to the airport to save time.||We booked the Haneda Inn which was close and a good price. When we arrived the building looked dated and old. The reception area was okay but not great and the staff seemed aloof.|Not the best start.||We went to our room on the 8th floor and were pleasantly surprised! It was clean, looked like it was new and had every facility we could want! The a/c worked well, the bathroom was spacious and the room reasonably big by Japanese standards. ||The only downside is the location as there are convenience stores but not much in the way of restaurants if you are looking for a final amazing Japanese meal close by.||Due to it being an airport location, breakfast began at 4am for early travellers and we booked the hotel shuttle to the airport to save the hassle of suitcases on the subway.||I would definitely stay here again should...
Read moreA very bad experience, I pre-booked the hotel, at the time of check in the receptionist was refusing my booking even though I showed him a confirmation email, since it was midnight and i didn't have any option ,i tried some arguments and then finally he was able to find out my booking. A very bad hospitality i experienced in Japan first time. Even no drinking water is available here. Had to go out to buy water. Service wise, Rooms are compact ,but neat and clean. If you carrying more luggage then you have to carry yourself one by one bags to your room, no one to help you or no trolley their to carry. Breakfast is very much limited , i guess good for Japanese people but not that much of good for Indians. Shuttle service scheduled on website is very limited, refusing shuttle service at listed times, asking to go with their availabilities only ,so sometimes quite unworthy to depend on this shuttle service if you...
