This is a relatively cheap hotel in a very good location in Shinjuku. If you don’t care to sleep in a capsule this is excellent and I didn’t feel claustrophobic in the capsule. Also the place was pretty clean and seemed new. Two things that weren’t good — 1. The towels- they give you a towel when you check in and and then you can get a new one every 3 days if you stay for that long, or you can pay and get a new one. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem, but there was literally nowhere to hang the towel to dry besides the little locker which is too small for it and anyway it’s not ideal to dry a towel inside a locker because it doesn’t really dry. 2. The floors- the capsules are on the upper floors and the showers/lockers area is in like the basement, so for me it created a lot of annoying situations of having to go up and down the elevator a few times but it’s not that bad. Read moreThe accommodation is located right in the heart of Kabukicho, making it incredibly convenient for anyone visiting Tokyo. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Shinjuku Sanchome Station, and you can easily walk to anywhere in Shinjuku without needing to take the train. Whether you’re exploring nearby neighborhoods or heading out for the night, everything is just a short stroll away.
Kabukicho truly is a city that never sleeps—surrounded by endless dining options, convenience stores, and shopping spots, it’s perfect for both day and night adventures. Despite being in such a lively area, the environment around the accommodation is clean and well-maintained, and I found the overall stay to be quite comfortable.
I highly recommend booking online in advance, as you’ll often find better deals that way. Great value for the location and...
Read moreI think the idea could work, it's just not executed well. The lockers aren't big enough for anyone's bags to actually fit in them, so everyone leaves their bags all over the "lounge" and common areas. There's nowhere you can actually sit down because of everyone luggage and people just taking over areas with all of their stuff. The elevator clears out your selection whenever it feels like it. We rode up and down because it wouldn't take us to our floor. The beds are extremely thin and uncomfortable, there is no shade for the window, so the street light was shining in my bed all night. It is right next to a karaoke bar and an apparently busy parking lot, because I could hear noise from both all night. Worst sleep I got while in Japan. Don't think it's...
