We had to change rooms due to the first room being too cold. It was double bed room with an open vanity next to the entrance door and a "wet" bathroom (the floor is always going to be wet). The room’s entrance door was not wind proof. Cold streams of wind seeped through the perimeters of the door and despite how high I set the room heating, it did not keep us warm. Due to the cold wind coming in, the tiled floors were icy cold. I developed a cold the morning after staying in that room. This room is not sound proof. The convection fans from the building on the left adjacent side are operating close to the entrance door. You can hear the fans from the inside of the room with the door closed and is very loud. The bathroom was a wet room and we were not told of this at the time of booking. We would have not booked this hotel had we known we would be getting a shower that resembles one from a public swimming pool centre. When we booked, the photos uploaded for our room selection did not match the room given to us. None of the photos showed a wet room. The curtain which divided the toilet and the shower area did not stop the water from flowing towards the toilet. This meant that we could not use the toilet after our showers due to the floors being wet. The one bath mat they provided quickly became soggy with water and was unusable. With the three inconsistencies we found with the first room, on the first night we wrote to the manager for help. We were extremely uncomfortable and was already looking to refund this booking and go elsewhere. However, the manager requested for an inspection the following noon while we were out. She wrote back to us saying that the sound coming into the room is probably due to the shower room ventilation being set on high mode (the cause was clearly not this) and in regards to the cold wind coming in - we should be fine tonight because "tonight is supposed to be warmer than last night". We were utterly in awe of her response. She said that there is a room available on the following day of our stay if we really wanted to change rooms. The new room was clearly a better constructed room. The doors were not leaking wind through and the room was quiet. The bathroom had a proper Japanese shower room. The hotel team helped transfer our luggage from room 802 to 401 while we were out and we appreciate them doing that. We slept peacefully in this room on our last night, but wished that we were given a normal room in the first place, especially since I booked this hotel several months in advance and booked based on photos provided of this room. Cleanliness & amenities: Not very clean. We found dust accumulating in corners of the room and Asian male hair stuck on the wall of the bathroom. Lack of amenities shows a lack of consideration for customer comfort and satisfaction. Has kettles but no mugs... slippers had rips on them. Maybe supply disposable slippers. We hope that this review can instigate action by the business to fix the issues relating to their poorly constructed room 802 and to upload true photos of its "wet" bathrooms to booking.com to not mislead customers.

A cozy self-service hotel with fantastic location. The amenities nearby is plentiful, 3-mins walk to Ueno Metro station that connects to Ginza and Asakusa nearby. A 4-mins walk to JR Ueno station that connects a direct Skyliner to Narita Airport and also a Shinkansen hub. A 5-min walk to Ameyoko shopping/food street with plenty of food and drinking places. There is no daily housekeeping but you can request for towel replacement and such. It is very no-frills and do not expect any lovely views through the window but I love it’s proximity to places and much more cost friendly in comparison.

Rooms are bigger than the usual business hotel in Tokyo. Location is great, very close to Ueno station. You can also walk to Akihabara or Tokyo Uni area. The bathroom is a wet bathroom. Sink is outside of the room. Its an unmanned hotel so obviously there is not much amenities. You cannot keep luggage before check in or after check out. No heater in the toilet so super cold during winter Staff is responsive via chat

We stayed here for three nights, and while the hotel is in a convenient location and offers a reasonably priced stay, the room was smaller than expected. There wasn’t enough space to fully open my large suitcase, so I had to prop it partially against the wall. The room was clean, but the air conditioner could use some attention as we noticed mold and could smell it in the room. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re looking for something budget-friendly in a good location, but there are a few areas that could...
