Dining & Bar TENQOO — Restaurant in Tokyo

No doubt the location is great - very quick access right outside the Nihonbashi exit of Tokyo Station, located at the 27th floor of the building/hotel giving you great views of this part of the metropolis. The interior also looks great, with a few table booths and smaller tables right beside the window. There’s also a glass encased private room to use for groups.

They have a great selection of drinks and food, which don’t break the bank, esp. considering the location and kind of place it is. However, it seems that they are famous for their reasonable but great breakfast buffet so I have to find a chance to sample...

As a guest at the hotel, this is the only option for food and drink. Suffering from jet lag we wanted to get a quick espresso coffee at 2pm, (which is not during peak hours). DENIED. You are not allowed to get a quick coffee only. Waiter greeting us at the door said “NO”, and ushered us out by waving his hands “out out out”. I can appreciate that policy during peak dining hours, but not off hours, especially when the description says “dining and bar” and the google maps offerings list...

Breakfast is not good at all and very expensive (2.500 Yen) for the service you get and the Tokyo view is not that good. Only two choices of hot beverages: bad coffee and average tea (no chocolate, no cappuccino etc.). Juices are not fresh and they just open some concentrate juice boxes and put them in the jar. Bread is OK. The food is OK but very few choices and everything is cold even the supposed hot dishes. I wouldn't recommend it at all....
