Nice hotel great location but awkward elevator setup
We stayed only one night and we did consider the nicest hotel we stayed in Tokyo. The location is quite good, from the Yaesu cenral exit of the Tokyo station will take you 10-15 walk to the hotel. If you have 1 small to medium size suitcase with good wheels should be fine to walk but if more luggage then consider taking the bus or taxi which can take about same time. considering wait time. Kombinis are nearby which is excellent. Several restaurants are also close by but not many are open for breakfast. An option is the hotel restaurant but we did not try it. It is fact more of a business area so consider looking around in maps based on what you need as a traveller. The awkwardness of the hotel is the elevator, it is really awful because you take one elevator up/down to the lobby which is at the top floor, then you must take another one to get to your room which is limited from going as low as the 2nd floor. If you happen to get a room at the lower floors then you will not be happy about this setup. We were on the 10th and got tired of it very quickly. Customer service was amazing as expected of Japan. Just wonderful interactions with the staff. At the lobby there is a very small garden with a view as it is on the 14th floor so do visit it for a few minutes. Rooms did not feel too small compared to the APA hotel we stayed in. Use of space is very good with nice amenities. Teapot and cups were really nice. Every space was well used and had good illumination. TV had a good size maybe 40-42 inches. Bathub was normal size and the area felt well sized not cramped. Hopefully you do not bring 2-3 suitcases per person then you will have trouble here and every hotel except for western hotel chains. Overall it may be best option comparing to others if you need to stay nearby Tokyo station. If the elevator is not a con for you then it may be the perfect place for you. Unfortunately I would not stay again and would try something one or two...
Read moreI stayed at the Hotel Yaenomidori for 9 nights in November 2023 on a holiday visit to Tokyo. The location served me well, being about 20 minutes walk from the main Tokyo railway station, and very close to the Hatchobori subway station.||The building is very modern, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed. Reception is on the top floor (level 14), where there is also a bar and a small but beautiful outdoor roof garden. Because of this arrangement, whenever you want to go to your room it's necessary to go to the top floor first, then catch another lift which takes you down to your floor.||The rooms are small but very comfortable and quiet. I had a single occupancy room but this had a double bed, small seat and table, TV, and facilities for making tea/coffee. The bed was quite comfortable. In addition to the air conditioning there was also an air purifier. The bathroom and toilet were very well designed, with bath as well as shower.||My room on level 4 was at the rear of the building. This meant that there was no view to speak of (just a wall of the building next door), but it was extremely quiet.||The ground floor restaurant serves fixed menus for breakfast, with only one western option. (Lunch and dinner are also available but I didn't eat there for those meals.) There are many restaurants and cafes, both Japanese and western, within close walking distance.||The staff were very efficient and helpful, and all I encountered spoke...
Read moreGreat hotel. Much spaces as compared to usual Tokyo City hotels. We are glad to have a high 11th floor room. With a quite a large glass window, flat large screen TV and a larger than usual shower room with bathtub.
Room was clean and bright. Reservation was easy n straightforward as we already booked and paid online.
As for the location, due to we arrived from airport thru Narita Express train alighted us at Tokyo Station. It might be too far to walk from train station to hotel, it took about 800m+ of walking distance. If you carry a big n bucky luggage, it will not be a pleasant journey for you. In fact, u can take bus from Tokyo Station to hotel, but finding the bus station at Tokyo train station is not a easy task.
Nevertheless, Hotel Yaenomidori Tokyo was a beautiful with a comfortable room. Although there is another nearer train station nearby, probably 400m away, but it was a domestic Metro small station, but we can use this station connect to many other locations.
Worth the stay, will definitely recommend it to my friends.
