   Read moreThis place is amazing! Came here twice during our travels in Japan and it was one of our favourite places to eat. The service is great, staff are all welcoming and friendly and the flow of customers is steady and organised. The food is soooo tasty, and the noodles are absolutely incredible - so cool to be able to watch them made fresh right in front of you, and seeing how much effort goes into your meal. You can also get a small/medium/large amount of noodles in any dish for no extra charge (they will ask you when you give them your order ticket). Ordering is via a menu numbered machine at the entrance typical of eateries in Japan and pretty simple to follow - there's a sign in English with directions if needed. We came here because they have a clearly labelled vegan dish (dandan noodles) which is absolutely delicious, but my husband loved everything else he tried too - awesome to have a place be so inclusive and do something really interesting for vegans rather than just a basic afterthought. ATMOSPHERE: The 13-seat shop is very popular as the line never cleared. The dining counter wraps around the open-view kitchen, with the seats nearest to the door having the best view of their handmade noodles being made. Everything was done by weight. That was so cool to see.
MENU: Ramen in two broths (shoyu & niboshi, which is dried fish) cold tsukemen, rice bowl.
FOOD: Ajitama Ramen The highlight of this dish was the handmade noodles. Super fresh, cut wide and not symmetrical, with a little waviness and ultimately chewy. The hot broth wasnât overpowering or salty but still flavorful, topped with a whole egg that was a little overdone, chashu and green onions.
SERVICE: Order and pay on the kiosk (cash only), hand your ticket to the worker and wait to be called to the first open seat. There is a small waiting area inside with stools.
