The best texture/frothed milk I've ever had. I like coffee. I weigh my beans, time my shot and weigh it, at home. That is how these guys make their coffee. I can not create the same milk at home on a non-professional machine, many cafe's have machines capable. However, I've never had milk this smooth before.
The coffee I chose may have not been the right bean, OR I confused a real barrista by ordering a latte. A latte should be more milky and less potent. However, I find the best way for me to get what I like is by ordering a "strong" or double shot latte. Long story short, it was not strong enough for me.
My wife said it was the best matcha she's had, again referring to the milk rather than the matcha, though she still said that it was top 3.
Super kid friendly, leave the stroller in view, outside, bench seats and a few tables inside.
The staff were so attentive if you made any sound that remotely sounded like you wanted something, they were asking how they could help.
Neat bathroom, rare for something the size of this little cafe.
The carrot cake was delicious, especially the icing.
If you want the best coffee you'll have in tokyo, stop in. Using my experience, maybe explain what you like rather than just ordering a drink. Real barristas will make a coffee as it should be, not as you're used...
Read moreI regret to write a critical review of this cafe, a place I once held dear and frequented often. It was once a reasonably priced haven with a wonderful ambiance. However, recently, the quality of the offerings has declined, and there's a noticeable increase in business-oriented changes, likely tied to the surge of international tourists.
The introduction of new staff and the absence of the manager from the front lines are probable causes of this decline. Placing inexperienced baristas at the forefront is detrimental to both the customers and the establishment.
Moreover, I'm taken aback by the pricing strategy - charging 2000 yen for a cup of coffee is audacious. While I understand the cost of raw materials can rise, given the quality of the coffee served, this price point seems unjustifiable. It's not just about the cost but the value provided that raises concerns.
What disappoints me most is the shift in the cafe's attitude towards its regulars. This establishment once felt embedded in the local community but now appears to have transformed into a business cafe targeting new inbound visitors. As a long-time fan, I'm deeply disheartened by...
Read moreI visited this coffee shop many times in my final week in Japan and it was by far the best coffee of the trip!
You select the beans you want from a list of several unique flavours and if you’re not sure the staff are very knowledgeable to make recommendations based on your tastes or desires. Rarely am I able to pick out tasting notes on coffees but here I can, my particular favourite was the nitro melon that did actually taste like melon which was oddly delicious. The sweet treats available also make a good pairing and you can ask for a recommendation if you’re not sure on what would go best with your selection of coffee.
It’s a specialty coffee place so expect to pay a little more (but not much) than a standard shop but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of the drinks you get!
The staff are also super friendly and welcoming and can speak good English if that’s something you are worried about as a tourist.
Overall cannot rate this place highly enough, one of the highlights of my Tokyo...
