A fantastic and modern stay, perfect for families or groups looking for space and convenience in Tokyo.
I'd classify this as a sleek boutique hotel with a fully automated, self-service system. From luggage storage to check-in and check-out, everything is handled digitally. While there is zero human interaction, the process is incredibly efficient and smooth—we had no issues at all.
Highlights: Prime Location: Strategically located within a short walk of multiple train station exits, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Spacious for Japan: The room was surprisingly large by Tokyo standards. We comfortably fit four people for five nights with two single beds and two tatami-style floor mattresses. Excellent Layout: Having the bathroom and toilet in separate rooms was a huge advantage for our group. Great Amenities: The in-room washer was a lifesaver for our longer stay. We also loved the bonus additions of a hair straightener and curler!
To note: Be aware that there is no daily room cleaning service. You are responsible for taking your trash to the designated disposal area daily. This was a minor downside.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for...
Read morecost effective hotel good for groups of 5. Check in and out was easy and seamless but there could be some issues regarding security as the front desk is not manned, and anyone can enter the hotel and go up to the rooms as you do not need card/passcode access. cleanliness: room was clean when we checked in, but do note that there is no cleaning provided unless you stay there 7 days or more. you can request for additional towels if needed at no extra cost. if you would like amenities like toothbrushes, water etc, they sell it at the counter and at the vending machine. we would have appreciated if they provided some cleaning tools like a magic wipe mop so that we can do our own self cleaning as we stayed there for 5 nights. there are no adaptors provided as well and there are only 2 usb charging ports. bedding: futons were comfortable location: it was also conveniently located next to exit A7 Kuramae station, and a 10min walk to Asakusa area we liked that they had Refa straightener, curler, and hairdryer. they also have a washing machine dryer in the room. overall it was an ok stay but it would be better if they could provide more cleaning tools especially for long stays and when there is no...
Read moreMinn Asakusa is located directly outside the A7 exit of the Kuramae station. The A7 exit is from the Oedo Line of the Keikyu Railways (though not accessible from the Asakusa line), so it is easy to access by train. We had a room with two beds, a tatami area and a couch suitable to sleep on. The room was large for a Tokyo hotel room with a modern Japanese aesthetic. The maximum capacity of the room was 6 people, but I think that would be tight. It was roomy for 4, though. The room included a sort of minimal kitchen, which would be suitable for heating prepared meals, but not much more. The hotel is located a 10-15 minute walk from the Asakusa Senso-ji (temple) and a few steps from the Sumida River. Our hotel stay was great and I will definitely check for availability on my next stay in Tokyo. One thing to note is that there is minimal staff interaction. Check-in is via a tablet and video call, followed by an issued room code (i.e., no physical room key). There were staff around, but I did not interact with them beyond a...
