Ginsyamo — Restaurant in Tokyo

We are visitors from the US and just wanted dinner nearby our hotel. Service started off okay ,but we noticed they were sneaky with extra charges. No where in their English menu was there a table charge mention. This won’t pass in a larger restaurant - atmosphere seems very local/small business. Only had the hostess tell us they charge everyone 300Y each person at the end. She kept pointing at the bottom of the menu which just said Tax is not included, nothing about a service fee. I translated the listed item and it says it was an appetizer, not a table service fee on top of the tax fee. We ordered a vegetable salad but got a cheaper priced salad instead. Yet the bill says the higher salad version. Very sneaky because they don’t think we understand. The main hostess seems nice but she is a bit manipulative. Won’t plan to go again. Great drinks, great service, and staff that really give their all. Our hotel was around the corner and I feel so lucky we got to go here for a late night dinner.
